This is something in this.
No one came out swinging. They got Montagna at the airport.
Even Fisher's management didn't respond.

As long as he's not selling Crack or having a relationship with a farm animal, im not gonna hang the bloke just cos hes been partying too hard in the off season.
Im sure Fish will get his sh*t together now that pre season training has started and will be his usual reliable self.
( Unless of course he hooks up with Bobby Brown in America , then all bets are off)

It is his money and he is free to do whatever he likes with it.
Just keep on playing well Sam and that is all I care about.

Maybe... but unable to hold onto that mantle for very long...mightysainters wrote:that was the worst article I have ever read, no evidence, sensationalising nothing, never says what happened... absolute joke! Some people need to be held accountable for tripe like that
... did'nt Bill Shakespeare title one of his plays about this sort of thing?
My personal contribution would simply to be to add 'absolutely' as the penultimate word in said title.
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

Re: Sam Fisher off field issues?
I'm not sure that delisting a player and having his manager sook about it can be considered "troubled". If that was the case then every club would be "troubled" every year. Same with Cripps asking to go home and BJ going elsewhere for more money.saintspremiers wrote:If you take off those Rose colored glasses the reporter actually has a valid point.
On the other hand, the Gram and Fisher things definitely count as off-field issues, let's not sweep them under the carpet.

Re: Sam Fisher off field issues?
Loved this bit "... with Leigh Montagna yesterday forced to defend the reputation of star teammate Sam Fisher...." defend his reputation from the media who have made up a story that they have tried to tenuously link in with the school girl saga. defend him when he had a mic stuck under his nose as he's about to board a plane and made to publicly defend Sam so that it doesn't look like they are hiding anything.
Re: Sam Fisher off field issues?
anyone could have written that article....most of it is in the public forum.....all put together as a beat up on the saints....piss poor reporting imhfo.....

And the fact that we delisted someone. Wow, don't all clubs do that!stinger wrote:anyone could have written that article....most of it is in the public forum.....all put together as a beat up on the saints....piss poor reporting imhfo.....
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

"Pert did not mention any names at the AFL meeting but it is known that Collingwood player Dane Swan has been questioned about alleged drug use and denied it.
St Kilda has unofficially asked the same question of its star defender Sam Fisher, who has been the subject of concern among some Saints players. Fisher, too, has vehemently denied using illicit drugs."

Re: Sam Fisher off field issues?
Wow, they're pretty big accusations to be throwing around, quite frankly a bit unnecessary singling out blokes when I am sure many players dabble when partying... I have heard many stories about naughty footballers.HitTheBoundary wrote:"Pert did not mention any names at the AFL meeting but it is known that Collingwood player Dane Swan has been questioned about alleged drug use and denied it.

Pretty high. A mate who has extensive experience in this area says his connections reckon up to 50% of AFL players use regularly. Probability says there are definitely some at the Saints, and we'll never know which. And why should we care anyway? As long as they keep performing.Spinner wrote:Wow. Very interesting.
Chances of it being true?

Goodness she is out of control right now...
Even if there is any truth to the stuff she is writing, I can't believe she dares.
Fisher has denied it, well why did she report it?
Made a grave error taking on the Pies this evening...they will come back swinging
