Spot on. Reckon this is what they have been waiting for - they are ready, hungry and good enough. I am confident, excited and yes a tad nervous about all the wotifs, maybes etc!!! But I am sure we will come away very proud sainters tonite - because our team will be in Grand Final at last.. Go Sainters.Sainterman wrote:Normally nervous in the build up to a big game. Today though, I am feeling great, and have that "WIN" feeling. The boys are gunna be massive tonight...they are the best and are about to prove it again!
They will make us proud tonight, can feel it. Exciting stuff ahead!!! GO SAINTERS!!!!
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

An apt quote for the thread of win, I thought.

About to head off to the game, with a big detour via the " PUB OF WIN", which is otherwise known as the Corner hotel..
For the nervous among you, this is an opportunity. Stare it in the eyes and make of it what you can. This is not a chance to fail, but a chance to succeed. Enjoy it. If you are lucky enough to be attending the game, then live it. Breathe it in. Roll with it. These guys are playing for you.
I cant wait for this. Honestly I cant. This is the most relaxed I have ever been before a final. We are good enough. The gameplan is good enough. The coaches are good enough. The list is good enough, and for once we dive head on into a Preliminary final with full fitness.
Bring it on. We have the measure of the competition and we have proved it all year. We are strong. We dont back away from anyone or anything. If they want to kick a score big enough to knock us off, you have to go through us......good luck.
This is the biggest game for us since 1997.
We have to win this.
We WILL win this.
Enjoy yourself.
Savor the opportunity.
Fortius quo Fidelius......
And away we go.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

7 points guys.
We have lost 2 games by a combined 7 points. That is all.
We deserve to be favourites in this game, we do.
But I'm really happy that we aren't. Let them be favourites.
But in our own minds that stat should tell us plenty.
This isn't just a grand final side that's lucky, we are f****** good!! Really really top shelf outstanding football side.
We'll beat these Muppets.

Much like last week lads.
Don't fear how bad a loss would feel.
Imagine how good a win would feel!!
For me this would be the greatest day of my life so far...An absolute dream come true, one of the things you tick of on a list of things you absolutely have to do/see before you die!
Make my dreams come true Sainters.

There is no way that this thread should be anywhere but on the front page all week!
We have to allow ourselves to believe that we can pump these handbag poofters! It is good for our collective souls to have times of confidence rather than being too caught up with fear and worry.
A friend of mine likened the situation to 2007 where geelong just snuck thru the PF but then came out and won the granny easily. Of course we could dwell on our position not seeming the same as that or, we could allow ouselves a moment to contemplate absolutely pumping the handbagger pr1cks and having a worry free afternoon on Saturday.
Wouldn't that be nice

It's a shame ignorance isn't painful
