Thanks guys, appreciate it. I'm 64 and I'm really believing I will never see my team win another premiership.
But, as I said earlier, I just don't see any drive, hunger, desire from this club to be successful, they seem happy with the status quo.
A successful club would not be handing Leathean the CEO's job.

Well it nearly didn't turn into a happy ending but we got the job done!Jacks Back wrote: ↑Sat 30 Jul 2022 4:47pm Looks like Byrnes is the sub
We beat the hawks by 69 points in the last 2 times we played them so another 69'er would be good

I’m in total agreement, Bruce. I was 12 years old at the MCG in ‘66 when we beat the ‘Pies. Little did I know that euphoria was only fleeting. The Saints have tantalised, at times. I hope that I’m around for another flag…but I’m not optimistic.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sat 30 Jul 2022 10:10pm Thanks guys, appreciate it. Hawks are a dangerous team.
Next week a huge game.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks Round 20 2022
Hawks just got some junk time goals. Big deal. The Saints used to do that a lot in the 80s too, when the game was over.
We are now back in the top 8 and I wouldn't be so sure that the Dogs will win any more games this year, and Carlton look shaky too.
Our inclusions were very good today.
I was at the game with the whole family and happy with the first three quarters and a bit and will be at Geelong next week. I'm optimistic. We've found a few players and Hanners was very good, especially early.

I’d be happy with a five goal win but I’d take the extra percentage.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks Round 20 2022
That is just bullduusst!! Bigboy took a couple of marks against Skunk and Roma, but apart from that our backmen did there job
Spud would have been proud of Sharman today.
I expect him to feature heavily in The Golden Fist segment on Bounce
The turnovers were happening in the centre but mainly in the forward line.
I haven't checked the stats yet, but I kept seeing the ball being turned over in our forward line
It was comical how many times our forwards were free and they couldn't work out how to get separation, share the footy and score!!

Loved how he shrugged off the tackle.
That's what's been missing from him.

Completely forgot this at the game - also remember - Perth was very reminiscent of Moorabbin in the 'Good Old Days' by todays standards that ground would certainly be rated 'Heavy' and the boys legs would have felt it in the last.
