McKenzie is actually really good on a wing. Not silk but great in the contest on the ground or air.

This is why the
Play the kids mantra is folly
They can be good, but because they are developing they are inconsistent
Connolly and Byrnes have struggled so far tonight
Hopefully they get a few touches after HT

I could tell from the first bounce last week we weren't switched on & a total reversal today its all above the shoulders turn up to play & you give yourself a chance . I'm not saying we will win but the effort is there & IMO only at least we are having a crack . Keep taking the game on nothing to lose , Go Sainters !!!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 21 2021
Byrnes is working hard he has covered the 2nd most amount of distance behind Membrey. Connolly has been playing on a wing, it might be a bit alien to him.Vortex wrote: ↑Sat 07 Aug 2021 10:04pm We need more from Byrnes and Connoly. Byrnes started to get into tbe play towards the end of the 2nd. Sharman putting some effort in without tbe ball is helping and even laying tackles. Our backiline is working well, Highmore is one of the finds of the year. Kent and Higgins are probably out two best.
Higgins is a really, really good footballer, he's running all over the ground and is equally great defensively as he is weapon in front of goals.

King just needs to keep moving around and present this quarter. Still a bit too much bombing coming forward, so need to keep the eyes down.

No. Try making up another stat to support your argument.

Great forward pressure and zoning....I apologise in advanceskeptic wrote: ↑Sat 07 Aug 2021 10:06pm Nice to read that Kent is doing well
Been a tough year for him with that long lay off post concussion. Hasn’t set the world alight so far this season and pbly lucky to be in the team tonight.
Glad he’s making the most of his opportunities.
For those watching... stats aren’t overly flattering on their own... 7 touches, 1 goal and a tackle. Someone posted that he should have had two... what’s he done to deserve the praise?

Hahaha, as long as he’s doing some objectively positive plays too (which it sounds like he is) I’m happy. Glad to read he’s doing well.Vortex wrote: ↑Sat 07 Aug 2021 10:11pmGreat forward pressure and zoning....I apologise in advanceskeptic wrote: ↑Sat 07 Aug 2021 10:06pm Nice to read that Kent is doing well

Coffield in a one on one with Heeney. Arm clearly pulled down no free Sydney goal.

Pissweak effort from Hill. He could have smothered that goal from Errol but he squibbed it and flinched instead of giving it 100%

Nice deliberate against Connelly.
Blatant cheating to keep Sydney in it.

I remember someone once saying Brad Hill’s role in the backline wasn’t to defend…

He did make the one stuff up but he was huge that quarter. Heard them on TV just saying it's the biggest quarter possesions wise by any ruck this year
