Our players have sh't skills - that's no Richo's fault. Blame the recruiters who continually recruit guys who can't kick under pressure. The only one who can hit a target when the heat is on is Sinclair. The other mids are all rubbish when they are under the pump - Seb Ross continues to be the worst offender. No wonder he racks up the most possessions , because he is lucky if he can use it well when he is in the clear. Oppo coaches must laugh.

Will never win a flag with this list.

Ok.
So big second half.
yep it did. Still cant see the need for all the coach sacking calls etc. We need a couple of players who are cool in a crisis to direct our kids
The problems run far deeper than simply adding a couple of decent players.

Even when we're winning, the style of play is still woeful.

The stagnant movement out of defence. The missed targets. The poor decision making. The missed goals. The 'bomb it in' offensive strategy. The slow midfield. The predictability. The ruck. The panic. The leaky defense. The 97% percentage. The lack of leadership.

We almost seem to win by accident. We certainly seem to score by accident.

There are big problems.

If we're doing what the coach wants us to do, even half of the time, there's a problem. If we're not? Then that's a problem also. Why not? After 4 years, why aren't we showing some feint sign of cohesion?

4-5 years into a rebuild, and I still reckon there's 8 guys at least that aren't good enough to play in a premiership team. We're a long, long way off it. This group probably will never be near it.

Our forward line doesn't kick enough goals, plain and simple we are impotent up forward. Our mid field isn't elite just good grunt players who get plenty of the ball but don't hurt the opposition enough.
We are a long way off it. Don't expect succesd this decade.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

......
They're grunt midfielders who get plenty of the ball - but just don't actually provide grunt nor get plenty of the ball!

Tony Lockett would struggle with our midfield.

Weller can't be dropped because he is in the leadership group, and it would be an admission that the coaches have overestimated
his attributes.

But he is a definite list clogger, unless he is injured. He's actually gone BACKWARDS from last year and is either injured or
is in the wrong headspace.
Waste of time picking him.

Three observations:
1. We are one of the most poorly skilled teams in the competition.
2. We pick and choose when to turn up. Only North do that better.
3. When the season is on the line, we crumble. Mentally weak, I think, is the phrase that fits best.

If there is no response after half time then that's all in Richo for me

We have had a lot of opportunities to wrestle back some momentum, and our goal kicking just saps it.

Would be nice to have a player who knows the simple art of touching the ball before it goes thru for a goal...
