Can't believe Joey got 26 touches. Absolutely insignificant contributor in my book. No doubt most people will look at the stats and have him in the votes. Where is he when the heat is on? How many times was he at stoppages or in the middle making an impact? I'll tell you how many- zero!! He gets his footy as a receiver of the footy out the back and he knows how to tally up posessions

Good to see we dont do the stupid thing of putting the new player in the middle of the song and covering them with Gatorade.
Well done Saints.

he got 26 because he got 26. played fine, others had a better game, but hardly insignificant. why the focus on him, and not the oustanding games by others?Scollop wrote:Can't believe Joey got 26 touches. Re: Saints v Blues match thread
Because he and some of the other older blokes still believe that they are 'driving' this team. Sure they have set the standard and sure the older blokes have been legends of our club and left their legacy, but the team is being driven by our emerging leaders and it's time that the batton is passed on ceremoniously and physically (that's why the cockroach made Steven captain today and not Joey)
Have a look at the replay. Joey runs along side a player who takes a mark or gets a free and gets an easy receive and then bombs it. That's what most people call insignificant

DARE is say it's cause iced coffee is our sponsor, and they wouldn't like Gatorade to get free advertising . And it would look stupid covering people in milk!!Con Gorozidis wrote:Good to see we dont do the stupid thing of putting the new player in the middle of the song and covering them with Gatorade.

And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"

Mav did miss a set shot but his snap on the left wasn't a certainty.BigMart wrote:I think Membrey has been pretty good.
Hickey, Steven and Tim line ball for BOG at 3qtr time
Weller should've iced the game 4 times
Did it once
Don't be too harsh as I reckon he would've racked up 20 pressure acts today.
He gut-ran all day and creates a lot of turnovers.

Selfies with the supporters - this is what Roo what 'chastised' about the other week.
The supporters get a little iJoy(??) photo with the players after the game

Caro reported there was a kerfuffle with Roo that meant Roo had to apologise to our CEO
but did not hear the details...

We've had a win today lads so finish it here and let's enjoy the bye and talk about how we are going to face the cats in two weeks time
Re: Saints v Blues match thread
Disgusting the way some so called "supporters' will single out a young player with only 2 years under his belt to bag. Pathetic. Not a true supporter at all. Wouldn't have the guts to say it to his face you can bet.The Fireman wrote:Dunstan is slow.
I don't think it would matter if we had the best forwards in the comp atm...the delivery inside our 50 is abysmal.

Fireman: "I think you're slow"
Dunstan: "Oh, okay...well...whatever"
