Re: Clarke
Funny how Raph divides opinions. I thought he was our best, particularly in the last quarter as we came back at them.IluvHarvey wrote:Raph certainly did play a shocker but so did many of his mates!
I think he'll respond well to a coach who values guys taking the game on.

I'm not a Raph hater Baz...borderbarry wrote:Gwilt has played worse in the two games that Raph has played, but I cant see any of the hate for him. Gwilt was brought back too early, and could probably benefit from more games at Sandy.
Now what have you Raph haters got to say about that?
I just don't reckon Watters sounded that convincing when asked about his game.
It really appears he is giving some of the guys a few weeks to show a bit, Farren, Clarke....who knows, maybe we'll see Peake next.

Yes, he looks slow.SainterK wrote:borderbarry wrote:Gwilt has played worse in the two games that Raph has played, but I cant see any of the hate for him. Gwilt was brought back too early
But that is possibly just lack of touch. Hopefully

the first time lenny did his knee it took a year to get back to his normal play.bigcarl wrote:Yes, he looks slow.SainterK wrote:borderbarry wrote:Gwilt has played worse in the two games that Raph has played, but I cant see any of the hate for him. Gwilt was brought back too early

Re: Clarke
The stats don't lie! Nine seasons (including this one) fo a total of 82 games. I'd probably accept that if he were a tall who was taking time to mature, rather than a hbf. Simple fact is his clangers kill us and he consistantly get caught in the wrong position. His 1 or 2 good moments in a game don't outweigh the bad IMO.
Personally I see far more upaside in someone like Newnes than Raph.
It's time to go......Raph Clarke!!!

Gwilt has credits in the bank after his good 2009-2011 pre-injury and just because one had a serious injury does not mean he is automatically down the pecking order behind say...Raph.bigcarl wrote:Yes, he looks slow.SainterK wrote:borderbarry wrote:Gwilt has played worse in the two games that Raph has played, but I cant see any of the hate for him. Form and touch has to count for something. On this year's showing, Raph is ahead.
But I can find a spot for both in my best 22.
