can we get him back? I would have him
i wouldn't take him back - unless he had one aboriginal parent

Gilbert and Jones seem like liabilities at the moment - they're looking at a crossroads in their future right now. If they continue where they left off last year, they're goners.

What he said is horrendous but if the AFL have called him in and asked him his thoughts should they then throw him under the bus?
It doesn't seem right to me.
"It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress."

Ridiculous comment. Gilbo has been in our best 2 or 3 along with Geary. Jones has been one of our only clearance winners, unfortunately his kicking lets him down. We were actually a bit better in the 3rd qtr. Milera can play!!
Third was a slight improvement on the first two but still getting beaten comprehensively. Going too wide when attacking and too loose defending. At one stage three loose Collingwood players ran the ball into goal. Cripps has joined Gilbo in the defensive turnover list. He's had a bit of the ball but just doesn't execute. Whenever Sippss gets the footy we tend to look like scoring

I don't see what choice they have. "Well we did ask; off you go."
Perhaps it would have been more useful to ask "Why?", but I suppose that's not the way we do things anymore. I can't really think of a reason that would be acceptable, but it would have looked better than just pressing the BAD WORD button.

Just joining the thread now, interesting listening to the nd qtr, 2 ong quick kicks into our forward 50, 2 goals.
This is beginning to really worry me, we are scoring soccer type scores right now, the obsession with defensive play over the last year or two may be costing us big time.
Yes it's only a practice match and yes we've only had a 6 day break after playing in 35 degree heat in Perth, but surely we should be able to manage more than 3 goals in 3/4's of football.

Hmmm, perhaps. All I'm hearing is Collingwood giving Gilbert some space to mess it up and turn it over, Jones disposal seems to be counter productive too. Call me spoilt, but I don't just want our players getting the ball, I want them doing good things with it too.
Disposal seems to be our biggest problem, just like last year, and it will take more than a new head coach to change that. Let's get to work, St Kilda.

The scoreline at this stage I reckon reflects the fact that we have played one less pre season full game than Collingwood. Collingwood have one more game to iron out their bugs. The commentators are very annoying they are very Collingwoodcentric. Having said that though Collingwood should be miles ahead.
