The countdown is more about my exasperation and feeling that despite almost "three and half months" (sounds like the name of a TV show) I am still waiting, and I have growing anxiety that they have stuffed up.
And nothing I read on threads like this gives me any comfort in their competence..
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

you are not alone <<< I'll join you at the Saints tent to collect a ticket to enter round 1 at the G.
But I firmly believe the club entered the promises in good faith-- and have continued to hear of other clubs experiencing difficulties as well
even the magpies with all their financial stability are struggling to accomodate supporters/ members wishes or beliefs-
and our club still runs activities close to the financial bone-- trusting those they organisiations they employ to provide as contracted to....

10 days to go.
Still waiting on the morons in the Membership Dept.
It's about time they stopped playing with their members literally and figuratively

Yeah, they're really leaving it close to the bone this year. WTF!
The weird thing is there have been no email updates or any sort of apology and explanation as to what is going on.
Is it simply incompentence on behalf of the membership department?

I don't believe the delay has anything to do with the membership department.
The actual printing and despatch of Membership Cards is outsourced (as are all AFL Clubs memberships).
I think the issue of the early 'home' game at the MCG combined with a 'communication problem' between Etihad and MCG has caused it.
BUT in the end, the Club looks silly.
(btw, I haven't received any of our 4 memberships and we 'rolled over' in November)

Re the caps, I just called the club and the spin line is that you can pick them up at Round 2 (our home game at the MCG).
I asked where at the G, and the bird said most likely on the Jolimont Station side of the ground where a tent should be set up.
I asked if I could pick the cap up from the club, but that "is not possible".

I'm hearing u guys on here. Trust me it isn't just your club that has membership issues. We have had them for years. Even this year I know of some that have had an axe to grind with the membership department for whatever reason.
Admiitedly though, with the season 9 days out a few of us would be getting a little jittery but know the feeling.
My folks are life members and they had to live on a knife edge for their seats.
I thought the motto was "keep the customer (supporter) happy and everything should fall into place".

Agreed, which is why I ended my post with:-bergholt wrote:outsourcing something doesn't remove the responsibility for it to be done right.Mr Magic wrote:I don't believe the delay has anything to do with the membership department.

Agree, if the supplier is no good, change suppliers.bergholt wrote:outsourcing something doesn't remove the responsibility for it to be done right.Mr Magic wrote:I don't believe the delay has anything to do with the membership department.

Footy is big business and that's how these things work.
"At the end of the day, a coach and a fitness adviser doesn't make a good football team, they're not the only ones who got us to two Grand Finals." Lenny Hayes. 27/9/2011.
This might come across as a bit of a whinge, but I had complimentary things to say about the member email, saints inside 60, new Saints TV weekly updates so I am entitled to one.
The cherub membership is good value, given my son is 3 and gets his membership for $25, but some of the accessories this year are ordinary quality.
This year the good things are the Lenny jigsaw, super bounce ball, and sipper cup.
The full sized Roo height chart is joined in the middle with sticky tape, there is a rubbish black plastic money box with a little Saints sticker to make it official, and a backpack (?) that appears to hang over the shoulder like a handbag...not sure?
My son thought so much of the money box, that he declared it needed fixing, and took it straight to his work bench.
Would suggest the club goes back to the previous supplier, much better quality items. Even if it was one really nice thing (like last years teddy bear) together with all the stickers, tattoes and facepaint that would be appreciated.
Just some feedback if the membership department has been keeping a watch on this thread.

Can we please get rid of this idiot, or is somebody rooting him?
