"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Yes, Max missed out. But Eddy was the player dropped to make way for Dempster after Eddy had a poor prelim. I'd hate to see him miss out a second time.Dr Spaceman wrote:Last year it was Max. This year the media is saying will Bakes be this year's Max etc etc.saintnick12 wrote:These are my thoughts too. While I'd love to see Bakes get a run, I can't say who deserves to be left out for him. No one deserves to be dropped from our team. No one. The only way I can see a change is if its injury related. The club has been playing its cards so close to its chest (and rightly so), that we really don't know if Eddy, Gram, Dal etc are ok. I think there could be more to the Eddy story than we've heard but I really hope he does not miss out at the last hurdle two years in a row.TazzieSaintGirl83 wrote:My heart is crying out for Bakes to get a run. Please dont ask me who I think should miss to make way for him, I just cant say.
In Ross we trust
No change
Why aren't said media carrying on about poor old Josh Fraser missing out, or Presti possibly missing out, or Tarquin or whatever his name is? Why aren't they saying Collingwood are heartless?
Why aren't they asking Leigh Brown how it feels to be keeping club legend, and 200 game player Fraser, out of the GF side?
Another conspiracy theory I reckon!

Doesn't sound good for Bakes....
"ST KILDA says there will be heartbreak at the selection table today - but that doesn't mean the Saints will make any changes for the Grand Final.
The Saints were tight-lipped on selection issues as the team announcement for Saturday’s Grand Final draws closer.
St Kilda football manager Greg Hutchison said regardless of whether or not there was any change, there was always going to be heartbreak for someone in Grand Final week.
"No doubt, it’s always a difficult time when people have been preparing for days like this, sometimes, for 8-10 years in their football career,’’ Hutchison said."

I don't think for a second he'll be dropped for form or match ups.saintsRrising wrote:I would be surprised if Eddy was out.
Just wondering if there's more to this story about him possibly having a facial fracture

The official word is just a broken tooth, but there's been a fairly strong rumour doing the rounds that there's more to it.saintlee wrote:I thought it was just a broken tooth?saintnick12 wrote:I don't think for a second he'll be dropped for form or match ups.saintsRrising wrote:I would be surprised if Eddy was out.
