Grand Final Team

Post: # 994619Post mohannair »

Thought of starting this, I did start the team thread on last 2 occasion & we won.

No better game to be won than this week so will give it a shot.

Baker in for Gram, Armitage for Dal. (Due to injuries)

Both will play.

Baker in for McQualter for me.

No change.

No Change (assuming Dal and Gram are passed as fit which I think they will be)

Gram is a worry..was watching him Saturday night after the tackle and definately looked restricted and sore..sure both the player and the club will take no chances..if he's still just 90 % ..would be tempted to leave him out and bring Bakes in .

If Gram is off early with groin pain it would represent a huge mistake IMO.. close to 100 % or not playing must be the mantra this week :x

Unfortunately Jason Gram has not found his 2009 GF form, and as such I'd rather a 100% fit Baker than a 90% Gram.

And for a longshot, I'd consider Nick Heyne. He was seriously impressive when tried. He is a hard bodied, pacy mid-half back.

Eddy had a tooth pulled yesterday. Was broken during the game on Saturday.

He played his way into the 22 IMO...

The ONLY chance that I can see is Baker for Dempster.

I am giving some legs to a story I heard that they may be saving him for an "explosive" game....There is some belief that after a long layoff, your first game back is generally your best for about a month as it takes you a while to get used to the recovery.

That said, I don't really think it will happen.

I was never a big rap for Eddy but his recent form has won me over - very determined and very hard at it, no way he's coming out of the team. Unless Gram doesn't come up no change, if he doesn't = In Baker

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Well RL said on SEN this morning (at the press conference) that he's taking Gram at his word that he is 90% right now, but he won't be selected if he's not 100% on Saturday.

Yeah, I am thinking the only change would be Bakes for Gram.

Dempster played so well against the Cats and Dogs, he is a very dilligent role player, which we are going to need on Saturday.

My tip is no change.

If there is a change it will be forced.

Gram out.

You'd think Baker in.

But we lose Run in this equation.

Steven/Geary might get a shot.

Baker in for Dempster (if any), do not how how Dal & Gram are progressing, will be a risk to take injured players.

No changes unless injury.

IF Dal - Armitage as another mid
IF Gram - Geary

Baker a chance and may come in for McQualter if they decide ot play Dempster as a defensive forward on Obrien or Maxwell.

RL said on TV yesterday that Grammie might be 90% fit, but if he is not 100% fit he wont get a game.
