the thread is probably along way back- but Blakey was a saints supporter before becoming a player.

Yeah absolute quality.

Love the Blake.

Surprised by his stats this year. Definitely top ten in our B & F.

Fantastic opportunity to see what a great guy Blake is! You could tell that although he was smiling after watching that footage of last year that it burnt deep within him to go one better this year! CARN THE MIGHTY SAINTS!!!!!!!!

Blake - class act.
Never gets B'Low votes but Top 10 in B&F's is way more important and gets them consistently.
The new Max, rarely beaten, never gives up.

Handled himself very well. You don't hear him speak often.

Asked the usual questions....

About SoS leaving... will move on.
Who will he play on....one of the bigger 3
No brownlow votes...Has a laugh at himself.

Was a good interview.

Agreed.

Well spoken and a great, humble smile too.

Particularly enjoyed the "most games without a Brownlow vote" topic that came up and how his teammates gave him a bit of a cheer when he walked into the club this morning.

Just gone up in my estimations as a bloke after that.

He wouldn't have an enemy in the world.

He wouldn't have an enemy in the world.
Hopefully his efforst on the weekend will change that - from a Collingwood perspective.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Was smiling the whole time but you could sense his steely resolve...this guy has been seriously underated by outsiders but the club know his importance..Hope he gets Leroy Brown..think thats a good match up.

Thanks, I just checked the guide and I can't seem to find it in the next 24 hours as they are replaying the Brownlow....will keep checking in case they change the guide.

They usually put the interviews on their website too.

The first time I met Blakey, I asked if I could have my photo taken with him. He said, do you know who I am. And I said yes, Jason Blake. And he said, and you still want your photo taken with me? He was deadly serious. Love the Blake, always have.

I remember all that stuff well Dan and mostly people wanted him dropped from the side because of our ruck "choices" but I recall saying - one day he could make a great half-back type like Tuck - and he has done his job so well - minding talls and smalls and limiting their options and passing to perfection in a team game to switch and retain possession - love the Blake.
There could not be a more deserving work-horse type to win a Premiership Medallion.

Haha that's a good story, I guess it sums Blake up very well. He is now highly rated internally and between saints fans.

The thing that impresses me most, is his modest play and acceptance of his place in the team, and ability. This isn't an insult, Blake know's his strengths and weaknesses and plays within them beautifully. A Courageous player too.

Carpe Diem
