This is ridiculous. This has been going on for years and needs to stop now. Michael, please do something. Who gives a rats a### whether Collingwood were minor premiers. The two teams enter the GF absolutely equal (albeit it with us having one less day to prepare). We wore that ridiculous strip in 97 when we were the minor premiers, so enough of this bending over. Michael, its time to say no.
p.s. this year's clash strip is a shocker.

What a F***** crock!
It wouldn't be so bad if the away jumper was the same on the front!
WHY does the white panel have to be so wide?
The board are a fair dinkum disgrace, bend over at every turn!
Both teams should be allowed/forced to wear their traditional jumpers!
Eddie F***brain changed their traditional jumper in 2001
Why should we be made to change for the whims of that prick!
Very pissed off and what a weak as piss response from Nettlefold!
Grow some balls and tell the AFL to shove it!

In that case the '66 strip is the one we should wear.plugger66 wrote:We have played in 6 GF and worn 4 different jumpers. It isnt like this is the first time. We are wearing red, white and black and surely that is all that matters unless maybe confusing players helps us win a flag.TriColourDisciple wrote:Can't believe most people accept us being walked over again regarding this issue. I, on the otherhand, come from the more passionate, dyed in the wool, bleed R,W &B type.
So, the Jumper that represents the club I love means everthing.
I really hope your source is wrong ashjam because, if so, this is yet another injustice forced upon our club.

I am outraged with decision!
It's bad enough the we've been f**ked over by Colllingfilth on this issue, but what's worse, is that so many of our 'supporters' are quite happy for this injustice to occur without a whimper?
The look of the white jumper looks as weak and feeble as some of it's fans!
It's great that the majority of us strongly oppose this decision, but very disheartening that others don't even care!
Chalk up an early win for the Filth

There is no tradition in footy.barks4eva wrote:Here, here, 110%!TriColourDisciple wrote:Can't believe most people accept us being walked over again regarding this issue. That's the spirit, just lay down again.

I'll be F***** outraged if we are forced to wear our clash strip in a Grand Final because of the whims of Eddie "we won't change our tradition for anyone" McGuire who did precisely that by changing the filth jumper that they wore for over 90 years 10 years ago!
Grand Finals are hard enough to make and when we make them we had better be wearing our traditional jumper!
If both clubs wore their traditional jumpers, there would be no issue!
McGuire created it, he should be the one who has to remedy it!
We should simply refuse to wear anything other than our traditional jumper!
There is nothing traditional whatsoever about it.
It's a business. Designed to make money.

I could do with a tan. Don't mind whatever we're wearing in a GF.TriColourDisciple wrote:The look of the white jumper looks as weak and feeble as some of it's fans!
Anyways...big deal. If it bothers you, it's another reason to get angry at the Filth on Saturday night, for all the s*** they've pulled on us this year...Filth Anger can't be a bad thing.

That's what I have been thinking all evening long!saint64 wrote:Please let sanity prevail here. I don't want to be watching the replay of our second ever premiership for the next forty years with our players wearing this year's clash strip.
ITS A DISGRACE! I know some people are saying but your in Grand Final but to me when I think of the St Kilda football club, I think of our TRADITIONAL jumper and our theme song.
Not some shocking away clash jumper that has represented our club for 5 minutes.

I don't want it, but at the same time crying about it isn't going to change the fact that we are going to.
Collingwood finished on top, it seems that this gives them the right to choose, they've chosen, end of story.
Just because you whinge about it and other people accept it, doesn't make you more of a St Kilda supporter.
Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.

I would also suggest that if when the siren blows, signalling our triumph or when you are watching a replay you are worrying about the jumper, I'd suggest you are worrying about the wrong thing.

Absolute Joke.. We should wear our real jumper. I bet if we finished on top Eddie would still have his way.
Let's wear white shorts, fair enough. But we did not cause the Eddie (meat head) jumper clash.
Sick of being pushed around by other clubs. While I am at it, I hate what Eddies does to North each year too!
