If you could bring back 2 people from last decade for the gf
who would you pick?
I would love for Aussie Jones to be there on saturday. The way he completely controlled the ball from half back and created so much run and space would be immensely valuable.
I'd also like to bring back Luke Penny, because I was felt safe with Penny in the side because he was rarely beaten by his opponent.
If i were going with my heart I'd love Maxy and Banger to be there, but in terms of who i think would fit in the current side, definitely Aussie and Penny.

G Train? Hammill?
The guys you suggested would all be welcome, but I was rapt in Zac's game last night. After the Wizard cup(?) game when BBB kicked 6 I was worried Zac might not stand up but he was very good and very poised under pressure.

Great thread. Fraser Gehrig most definitely first and foremost.
Then any one of the others mentioned - a fit and firing Aaron Hammil would be a dream but for this game, maybe a pacy line breaker like Aussie.

What about TS40 to kick the winning goal on the run from 60 metres?
Seriously, I think (from those who played for us this year) Raph and Bakes would be handy, but we can cover for them (I hope).
Beyond that, a fit Hamill would always be a massive impact player in a big game.
While I miss players like Harves, Gehrig, Peckett, etc, I don't feel that any of them would represent the difference between winning and losing in a GF. Hamill might.

s***, then there's Ball, Hamill, Gehrig, Penny and Jones definitely too hard to pick.saintbob wrote:Would love either of these two, but hard to go past Harvs as first choice!!!gringo wrote:Powell for a bit of mongrel, Peckett just because.
So I'll leave it as it is!!!

I don't think you would want to stuff with Rooey at the centre half position where i think Hamill always looked best. As for a swap of G train and Kosi probably not a bad swap. But for mine a bit of speed would be nice and strong midfield or backline run as such Pekkers and Jones, Even a Heath Black, Winmar probably would have been gone more than 10 years.
For mine no one deserves to lose a place but Collingwoods massive rotations and constant drive forward could unsettle us, maybe a contested ball player like Armo isn't such a bad team balance proposition and geary and Steven could both be handy. Just wouldn't want to have to remove anyone. Hopefully we dont miss anyone with injury, but could open some spots up.
