the umpiring was useless we all know that
i dont care if an ump makes a mistake just be consistant all you can ask from them
for instance the frees they kept getting for sliding into our legs
now if they had been paid our way too... non issue
holding in the contests and getting high... if they hadve been paid to us aswell non issue
i believe the umps had the direction to keep the game tight for as long as possible because of last nights dissapointment in no way do i believe it was for favourtism we were always going to win
its just the consistency we need from the umps if they were consistent they could make all the bad calls in the world

I dont think we all think the umpiring was useless. Matter of fact it was pretty dood IMO and I would think a few others may think that as well.wasaintsfan wrote:the umpiring was useless we all know that

And if you really think the umpires have a direction to keep the game tight for as long as possible then I really wonder why you would even follow such a corrupt competition.

again i stated in no way were they effecting the result.. im allowed to have a personal opinion as are you...no way do i believe it was for favourtism we were always going to win
in the other gamethe teams were allowed to run and whistle was put away
yes the umpiring was good when they put away their whistle for a while(off memory they did it for last minutes of first and second most of 3rd and 4th)
as an "ump" do you not try be consistant with your decision making??
if so how can kosi get polaxed and some how give away a free... how can the man for one team go for the ball and take out a players legs but when it happens other way its play on
as i said im not asking for every rule to be followed to the mark
what i stated was i want consistancy in the decision making.. if it was there i wouldnt be here stating it
They are called errors on behalf of the umpire or the way you see the incident. Umpires try to be consistant just as players do.wasaintsfan wrote:plugger66 wrote:I dont think we all think the umpiring was useless. and players get bagged for being inconsistant on this site
ie
kosi
clarke
dawson
peake
etc..
and when they come and do the right thing it is stated...
so why cant the same be said with umps???
i stated in my posts again it wasnt favourtism it was errors and lack of consistancy.. so why are we going around in circles?? just accept im not against the umpires.. i just want to see them perform on a "stable" level for longer.. ive already accepted the worlds not against us and they were errors
(and to an extent i feel a direction to keep it tight early to stop another massive blow out this finals series which has happened to much already) which again is not based on facts just a personal opinion which probably is wrong.. but one im intitled to regardless

Umpiring was not an issue.
best thing about finals is you get the best umpires officiating. Usually umpiring doesn't come into it.
Thought it went unnoticed last night. The Gardiner "goal" was controversial but seemed to be the correct decision.
They seemed clear in their decisions, like the Goddard high forearm where the umpire said "it was accidental but high" etc.
Thought they had no influence on the outcome at all.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

The TV had to edit the umpires conversation.plugger66 wrote:I think it is because the AFL hate us. It makes sense.degruch wrote:They don't seem to interject much against St Kilda. Well, now that the standard has been set, I look forward to every umpire and official on the ground holding a conference post score to work out what should be awarded.plugger66 wrote:If it is right who cares who signals it. I bet we wish a boundary umpire had said something in the Gf last year. Anyway the umpiring was good.perfectionist wrote:Apparently he thought so. I was on the wing and couldn't tell either way. Just why we don't have four goal umpires (in finals at least) remains a mystery.degruch wrote:In a better position than the goal umpire?perfectionist wrote:Boundary umpire.
The boundary umpire intervened to remind the goal umpire that Demetriou wanted the Dogs to win.
He suggested that if the Dog player claimed he touched it, they should agree he touched it.
Fortunately St Kilda were just to good.
Demetriou was beaten.
