While I agree with your sentiments 35...LEGEND, and also hope that the Pies are no longer part of the equation at the end of tonight, I personally hope that neither of these teams does a number on its opponent.

Hopefully we'll be meeting the winner in 8 days time and I want that team to have suffered from a brutal bashing where it fell across the line and gained little confidence.

But I don't understand everyone wanting injuries and suspensions etc. Yes I want a GF win as much as the rest of us but I want it without the media saying yada yada GF last week saints only got over the line cause Swan broke his leg or Ablett broke his hand..... blah blah. I want this GF with no bs media slant saying we won because.... anything other than we were the better team.

I hear what you are saying but at the end of the day they don't put an asterisk next to it in the record books.

You either win it or you don't, you don't get 80% of the flag because the opposition were at 80% of full strength.

Further it doesn't matter whether they are full strength, if we win our next two games commentators will refer to the fact that we had an easier run than our opponents.

I say, who cares?? If we win the thing this year it will be a remarkable performance by a team that really hasn't done much wrong against the top sides but has been written off because of performances against the rubbish teams.
