Nerves?

Post: # 988172Post IluvHarvey »

How are everyones nerves at the moment? It is only Wednesday and I'm starting to get nervous. Anytime someone mentions Saturday night all I can say is "I just hope we win". The worst thing is i'm only going to get more nervous as the week goes on.

Is anyone else as nervous as I am?

GO SAINTS!!!!!

I wasn't against Geelong, I am a bit with this one...everyone expects us to walk it in, and I don't like it. I guess it's natural when you know there's no next week...especially when there no Cats or Pies to belt (the thought of either of them taking out the premiership makes me wanna barf).

I only hope we smash the living crud out of the Dogs, karma for their inability to keep their lid on this season.

The prelim is a really nerve racking time, fall over here and it's a fail. Any one can have one bad game on any given day, injuries leave you down a couple on the bench etc. There goes the season. We should be right. I hope.
Just don't underestimate any one and we are that much better off. Nervous? Who's nervous? Are you looking at me....

I can't afford to be nervous about the foot yet.

I need to get through my basketball final tonight first.

Count me in for nerves.
For all the above mentioned reasons, because its do or die, because of the expectation, because a win would put us into the big dance.
The closer it gets the more jittery I get.
I agree dont underestimate anyone and stay focused

Probably not as bad being up here. Will be getting jitery by Saturday lunch.

No where near the AFL news, except who leaving the Lions next.

Think of it this way; we couldn't be in a better position to win it. The initial hard work was against the cats. The whinging cats. I reckon it's a seven goal win on Saturday night. There's no way we'll flop out.
The best news is, by late Friday night either filth or bleaters will be out of the game. What an absolutely beautiful thought.
We should have had the game wrapped up against a powerful cats team by half way through the third quarter the other weekend.
We're in good good shape.
And Baker will be back.

I wish the Collingwood supporters I work with, just shut up about the whole thing.

Nervous? Always.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

A touch nervous but then I start going through the possible match ups and relax a little. I just hope the rain stays away on Saturday night and it does not turn into a slog fest where luck can play a greater role.

Only thing I'm nervous about is injuries, or suspensions.
I think the dogs are jealous, and there will be a few snippers out there.

I'm nervous before every Saints game, even the pre season games let alone the finals. I have just turned 60 yo and was 16 when we won the only flag. I have spent a lot of nervous energy over the last 44 years with no payback in flags but received plenty in other games and moments. I'm very nervous about Saturday night especially because we are favourites. Only have to think back to the games against Essendon this year for the stomach to start to churn. Go Sainters! Go Lenny!

A bit nervous now. Will be worse just before arriving at the pre-game on Saturday. Will be OK after a couple of stiff scotches paid for by P76King   !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Oh, I'm so glad to have read these responses. I've been feeling as if I must be crazy this week to be feeling so worried. I take comfort in reading fellow Sainters posts.
I'll be there Saturday night.
GO SAINTS!
