Also, HE made the decision to leave them. The other 2 were shown the door. LOVING IT!!!! Hope SOS doesn't head back there though.....

whoa here, this is indeed awesome, but...

Why the hell not just bring him in now. Not for a coaching role specifically at this stage, but it could only send the vibe in the whole club even higher!!!

He has resigned from Carlton, to me its a no brainer! Init?

Great news but it surely was a no brainer given that our home base next year is at Seaford and Harves lives in Mt Eliza

Whether he's officially working for the club or not, announcing it now is great. It means if the Saints make and win the Grand Final, Banger will be around to celebrate!

Welcome Home Harves.

Fantastic news !!! I fist pumped when I heard the news whilst driving home. It was very embarrassing.

My three year old will be very excited. Despite attending his first AFL match (and Haves tribute match) when he was 12 months old and never otherwise seeing Haves play, yet he just loves him and can recognize him. He asked me just the other day to put on the Harvey Tribute Members DVD. So cute him sitting watching it. Very happy with the news in my household. :D :D

Not sure how good a coach he is, but apparently he's quite good. Is he going to be midfield coach or development coach? Wasn't he development coach at Carlton.
I think he'll be great with the young kids. He has is such a legend around the club and at least when he's giving advise about preparation etc they will know he's speaking from experience and if a few of our boys can pick up just a few percent from his presence, then it will be well worth it

Truly great news

and wonderful timing. Will provide and extra boost to all the guys.

And good on Carlton (am I allowed to say that? ) for announcing it now and freeing him up for some involvement in the next 2 games.

Welcome home banger!

as i live in sydney i went along to the swans - blues finals match here a couple of weeks ago. thought that in the third quarter the blues midfield worked like clockwork to free judd up and he played an amazing third quarter. sure he's a superstar, but i was very impressed by the midfield set ups that allowed him to get free.

hopefully the blues learnt that from harves and next year we can reap the benefits of a great football mind and a great saints man.

MADE MY DAY

Get him a 35 on the back of his shirt.

Would love to see him in the coaches box this week, merely for sentimental/motivational reasons.
