Yeah. Good pick up. A conspicuous absentee. Anyone know?
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

That's right. That day...

He was a regular poster about 4 or 5 years ago.
Then he disappeared for a couple of years, I presume because he had some health issues which he overcame.
Then came back as a regular poster.
Now he seems to be gone again
Hopefully his health is OK and he will be back as, unlike some serial posters, he is a good contibutor.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Re: Milan?
It's about three hours south of here. Through the Goddard tunnel. But you're probably not starting from here.saint1974 wrote:Just wondering where Milan is,

You might be right matrix, but in his short stint here he seemed to be a 'lone hand' (except for dcstkfc and battye to a lesser extent) in being a 'visible' mod.matrix wrote:people that post as much as some do (including the poster in discussion) cant be mods
it just doesnt work
Without his input as a mod the forum seemed to be almost 'rudderless' during that time.
Only since his demise have we started seeing input from HSVKing and evertonfc - still nothing from Armoooo and nick (away overseas I believe?).
Given that we lost 3 mods a couple of months ago and Milan and dcstkfc were replacements for them, we still appear to be 'light on' in terms of visibly active mods.
Whats the point of having mods?
Have you noticed the less the mods around the less people bag each other out?
People bag each other cause they are told they shouldnt do it, without being told and not getting a reaction people dont do it... as long as there are people that keep an eye on pesonal attacks that are unwarranted then this site should be fine...

DISCLAIMER: the following is on Mods and not on Milan.Mr Magic wrote:You might be right matrix, but in his short stint here he seemed to be a 'lone hand' (except for dcstkfc and battye to a lesser extent) in being a 'visible' mod.matrix wrote:people that post as much as some do (including the poster in discussion) cant be mods

I think if you look at various forums that good Mods are largely invisible in their "Moderating".
They are active as required (and this is vital)...but they don't make the mistake of engaging in the threads.
Just a quick thread closed, and maybe why.... deleting spam etc....but not lecturing in thread.
Any direction by a Mod is best done IMO between the Mod and the poster.
And Mods should, not as a Mod, be praising or criticising posts.
Cheers
