Suprised we have not had a Kossii thread
What does everyone think of his game, I thought he stood up when it really mattered in the first half.

did not get a stat for last 3 quarters

good first quarter

2nd hald conditions did not suit

bit concerning that not for the 1st time this year drifted out of game after
1/4 time.

Most players would be called to account if no possessions for 3 quarters...some in fact would be very much under the pump

Yes did have an influence 1st quarter.........

hope for more but I think als0 contributing is an injury niggle.

Thought he was fantastic in the first. Struggled in the wet, read on BF that he had a niggle in his calf or something? which would explain why he didn't get a possie after the 1st quarter.

I enjoyed his first half...surprised by the mixed messages about his calf, though I realise we wouldn't give much away.

The only thing I noticed at the game, is heaps of times he was deep with Scarlett and the ball was sailing in with the expectation of Kosi winning a foot race...bit ambitious, would of been better to put it on his head and hope Scarlett gives away a free.

He was brilliant in the first quarter, but obviously more than quiet after that. It's a shame the rain didn't hold off.

Kosi has shown a pattern to play great early and die out of the game.
To be fair the conditions were not suited to him later in the match.
He played a valuable part in the team's win and along with Roo will be putting some fear in the Pies' and Cat's premiership hopes.

I heard a discussion on the radio yesterday saying how he played well enough on a class defender in Scarlett to show they need to be so mindful of him and can't leave him alone to double/triple team Roo. I think any team that plays us from here on in will be more concerned about the two key forwards then perhaps they would of been 6 weeks ago.
With Lonergan out, the cats had to really stick with Taylor on Roo and Scarlett on Kosi even though both were getting beaten.

He showed enough to us and to our opposition that he can be a threat in a big final, especially if its dry. This is good for us and bad for our opposition. Let's hope the injury he may have picked up is minor and he can get over it between now and the prelim. He always appears to be carrying something.

What an awesome first quarter, but like most tall forwards he goes missing in the wet.

Lets hope our next two games are dry - he could be the difference.

Allowed Roo and Milne to make massive impacts with the reduced attention.

If nothing else, that is a priceless contribution.

if he does have a calf injury that would explain why we didn't see him in the ruck at the start of the last quarter. i though that was the obvious move to get some extra legs onto the ball. eventually roo went in there but ben and gardy were obviously stuffed at the start of the quarter.

Played his usual quarter of football.

How anyone gets away with 25% effort is beyond me.

While he started well, he was done even before the rain started.

Scarlett won that matchup in the end. Good that Kosi demanded enough accountability to allow Reiwoldt to be Reiwoldt, and Milne to get himself 1-out with Hunt (something that is unlikely to have been missed by a certain fella in the West trying to work out how to bundle the Cats out ins traight sets), however, "making us function" may be underrated, but it's also prey to replacement. Beaten by the best is still beaten.

Is a very good point that I agree with 100%.

In this game Roo was basically one on one with Taylor and Roo destroyed him.

Kosi's very good first quarter meant that the Cats could not gang up on Roo.

In the GF Roo was often against three or more and though the media and Cat's fans hyped up how Taylor beat Roo, it was more that the Geelong backline teamed up and restricted him. This opened the door however for our smalls though in the GF and those opportunities should have been enough for us to win, but they failed to kick straight.

The opposition having to be mindful of both Roo and Kosi them also helps to open the door for our small forwards.

I think there was an air of arrogance about the selection, I believe they dropped Lonergan, because Bomber and Scarlett believed that he could both mind Kosi, and float off and assist Taylor.

Kosi certainly made him think twice.

As I have mentioned somewhere else, let next time we meet by dry, as I think we are a 6+ goal better side in the dry. Roo and Kosi were a pleasure to watch, no defence could cope with those two up and about.

Agreed - I expected 8 goals and 15 marks from him on one of the best FB's of the modern era. Very disappointing that all he did was make Scarlett accountable for him and free up Roo to dominate. GET WITH IT KOSI!

Spot on SainterK, though I doubt the usual Kosi haters/doubters will agree.

What a crock of shyte. Get over yourself.

Just for the record I would much prefer Kosi over Roo when it comes to set shots. The guy is a beautiful kick of the ball and from long range too.

A) it was a f****** good quarter

B) it pissed with rain for the remainder

C) his off ball toil was excellent

D) it's a quarter more than you usually give him credit for!!

IMO Kossi has been carrying some injuries..

With a week to freshen up I am expecting a big PF from him.

The only injuries Kosi is carrying are in his head. He played a great first quarter and then said I've done my bit hoo roo.
