By 2 goals then we play the Cats in the GF.

Dempster is only in doubt if Bakes was to come in. If Bakes was too big a risk to play last night, its an even bigger risk next week.Bardon Saint wrote:Potential outs: Dempster, Eddy, Mini

Dempster did the job, eddy a bit quiet and mini played his role ok but has got to be on the edge
A hard call but I'd like to see Geary, Baker and Armo in
What I think will happen: Eddy out, Baker in
Eddy or Mini out for Geary is a possibility but far from a certainty.
Something would have to go wrong on the track for Armo to play again this year.
I definitely wouldn't be suprised if no changes were made.
Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.
Everyone's saying that it is an even bigger risk bringing Baker in for the PF as opposed to the QF.
But the facts remain that this game was almost the be all and end all against the Cats, who are brilliant.
Whilst the PF is elimination, it looks to be significantly easier against the Dogs who are verging on hopeless.
The reliance on Baker would not be as heavy, and it (as crazy as it sounds) might be the perfect game to play him into match fitness for the Grand Final.
Because everyone here agrees that an in form Bakes will be a massive bonus when the whips are cracking.

Agreed. Far from our best but that was the first really big game that he played his part.widereceiver wrote:Watch the replay, is my view. I think Baker will be named for the prelim. But it remains to be seen whether he will actually play.Iceman234 wrote:Baker if 100% fit is easily in our best 22, match-fit or not match-fit.
Some spuds forget how good he is and what he means to the structure.
I was expecting Fisher to be the late change last night. Lyon had been adamant all week that Baker would play so I didn't expect that he wouldn't.
I heard discussion on the radio that the late change unsettled Geelong and especially Johnson who had psyched himself up to play on Baker.

Agree. I would prefer to play the dogs, but my bet is it will be the swans.widereceiver wrote:I think it's a mistake to assume the Dawgs will be our opponent. I think they are toast. It looks more like Swines or Scum to me, probably Swines.
Dogs look gone.

There are no certainties this time of the year. If we don't bring our a-game we are always susceptible, and it still may not be enough against the sooks and the filth.saintsRrising wrote:As others have mentioned Dogs are no certainties to win next week.
Lets see who we are actually playing first before you worry about ins and outs..unless you want to nominate different options.

Depends on match ups but i see no change. Eddy and Mini played important roles and will be needed to tag Shaw or gilbee across hf.
the only thing could be Dmepster - played a very good game or Blake for Geary if we play the swans to match up speed with Jetta and Travis Lane.
I expect no change in personnel and no change in result from earlier in the season.

The Swans would be close to favorites against the Dogs with all there injuries. I heard BBB is in a bit of strife.saintsRrising wrote:As others have mentioned Dogs are no certainties to win next week.

Think we will be playing the Swans which wont be easy

Who knows. That might actually help the Dogs find a bit of form.Stillwaiting wrote: I heard BBB is in a bit of strife.
I'm taking the view that who we play is out of our control. What we can have some control over is how mentally and physically ready we are for the preliminary.
