There is an excellent case that the Hawkins goal cost us a Premiership.
When is the AFL going to do something about this.
Had we lost we are condemned to play each week and come up against Coll in the Prelim making the Premiership very very hard.
But with the win we should get a smooth ride into the GF.
THAT is how significant that blatant error could have been.
Sorry I thought we won.
IF you read my post you would see that I said "IF".
My point is that error could have cost us any real chance of the flag this year.
That would mean we would have been shafted two years in a row by incompetent decisions that could easily be fixed.
For heavens sake it arguably cost us a flag last year.
Most REAL fans have been stewing over that for 49 weeks.
If that doesn't upset you then you are NOT a StKilda supporter.
Why because I choose to forget about something that was obviously wrong. Maybe a real supporter would just whinge until the result is changed.
That seemed to work for Fremantle in Tasmania.
You have taken a while. Actually watched a the said goal again and think it was now a goal otherwise the ball wouldnt have gone that quickly forward. Zac actually tried to push it down but it went forward very quickly which suggests maybe there was a boot on it.
Just pointing out the accuracy of your statement -whinging overturned the result of a game some days after it was completed.
Just a co-incidence that we were the team to lose the points.
BTW, how did that actually happen?
How did the AFL overturn an official result?
WHich rule did they use or dsid they 'make it up on the night'?
You're an umpire, how was the Gwilt decision incorrect according to the rules?
You claim it was a 'lucky decision' in another thread.
WHat was 'lucky' about it?
THat Mooney fell into his back adn drove him into the ground?
Or was it just 'lucky' becasue the umpire happened to see it?
Is that what 'lucky' frees are - when umpires happen to see infringements to us?
And when they see them against us they're considered 'deserved'?
