Baker and Geary are both defenders, so you'd have to look at either Dawson or Dempster to go out if they were to come in. However both Dawson and Dempster did a pretty good job tonight, so I'd say "no change".

Bakes is the Max of 2010. Geary I think will play for Eddy.

In: Kos's rested ankle...so he will have a big PF.

It has been limiting the big fella....

I thought Farren Ray had a disappointing night, just a personal opinion, but if we had a genuine distributing midfielder ready to go, he might be in a bit of trouble. I'm sure he will be safe.

Got to agree with this assumption

Thought Geary would of added more flow to the game even though Eddy worked his clack off.

Eddy should and will play.

Baker for Dempster if he can prove his 'game' fitness.

Bakes was good to go tonight but Ross, who was interviewed before the game, decided that after nine weeks out it was going to be a bit much for him.

If a QF was a bit too much after nine weeks out, then how much more a PF after 11 weeks out?

I don't see him getting back in barring an injury.

Nup, I'd keep in Dempster for certain, he can deliver in big games IMO.

Bakes is gone for the season.

Can't play a man with zero match conditioning straight into a Prelim.

It's not 1982 anymore guys!

Saturday regardless. Keep's 7 day breaks between semis and prelims.

No the highest winning side gets 8 days.

Yep, that's my understanding too. Pies win and they'll get the Friday night.
Most likely senario I guess. Doggies could win, but I doubt it.

Can anyone remember if the Saturday prelim last year was a night game too...looks like I might be changing some plans

Watch the replay, is my view. He had some critical possessions you must have missed.

If they think Baker can come back in, then I'd say replace Eddy.
Eddy didn't add all that much to the side tonight.
Dempster, whom I deplore, obviously did a pretty thorough job on Johnno, so has to stay in.
Mini played his best game for some time.
Ray, whom some people seem to think is vulnerable, has been down in the last month. But tonight he was extremely valuable at times.
Blake was probably our worst player, but he stays for sure.
Kosi played a crap last three quarters, but a fabulous first. He's sort of irreplaceable anyway.
So I say Baker in Eddy out.
Wouldn't mind Armo in Eddy out.
(I'd really love Armo to come in.)

Not the case. Remember 05. We finished 4th, beat Adelaide and got a Friday Prelim. i.e. it was 4 v 3 on Friday night and 2 v 1 (West Coast v Adelaide on Saturday) Trust me on this one, it'll be a Saturday regardless.

Spmeone who watched game and saw it the way I did. While I would love dave to come in, I don't care who does. Just get mini out.

It's called STRUCTURE.
His first quarter was so good, it forced Geelong to play differently.
They became so concerned with Kosi's leading and marking, that they dropped their intensity on Milne. (Having already decided to lock down on Schneider after he tore them apart last game).
Hence in the second quarter he ran riot.

Then the rain came tumbling down and how many overhead marks were taken by talls, of either side, after half time?
Even Roo became virtually ineffective in the air as the rain continued to fall.

But Kosi had performed his role perfectly.
And even more tellingly, which side is going to ignore his cpabilities in dry conditions after witnessing last night's first quarter.
It has completely changed, imo, how other teams will look to defend against us.
The fact that he led, and we honoured his leads measn they cannot ignore him adn just concentrate on Roo.

WB so I would bring back Geary and drop one of 3 out of Dempster, Mini or Eddy. Bakes will miss out I would think.
