What I'd love to see on Friday night......
Several times this year we have kept teams to very low 2nd half scores (Including the Cats) and sometimes goalless.
On the other hand our first halves have not always been great.
I'd love to see us turn that 2nd half performance against the cats on in the first half this week.
Scoreline at half time:
Geelong 0.5.5
St Kilda 7.4.46
A goalless first half for the cats would be a f****** ripper!
Am very, very pumped for Friday night and starting to feel more confident every day.
Go Sainters, Its Our Time!
Please add.....

A goalless 4 quarters would be even better, whilst we kick about 20 goals.Finna wrote:

A solid gold first quarter - 6.0 to zip, setting the tone for the night.
The slow starts against the Blues and the Bombers this year meant we were chasing the scoreboard for the rest of those matches.
Also - Riewoldt kicking straight, Koschitzke marking everything, Gwilt setting up plays from the backline, Gram kicking to targets, a high tackle count,
smart umpiring including NO CHEAP FREES, NO RIDICULOUS FIFTIES.
That should just about do it.

Id also like to hear an ump to J Sellwood in a pack say "nah you ducked your head....play on....."
wont see either but will see Scneider/Dal/Milne scragged with naught paid.
expect first free of game to go against Baker AFTER Johnson has elbowed him and been let go...
“Yeah….nah””

I dont care if we win by a point.
We just need to win.
This is one of the biggest games in the club's history. Make no mistake, we win this and we have one hand on the fkn cup.

I would like to see us circling them like ravenous sharks early, and be able to clearly see 'we're on'.
Saints Footy + Unleashed Biblical Rage = Flag.
Let's hope we go out there and scorch the freaking earth.

But do you not think that the Cats realise this to? Both teams know the importance of winning this game and getting an eaiser run to the gf. Both teams will have the passion and determination to win, it will come down to skill and maybe a bit of luck of the ball bouncing our way..... and some unbiased umpiring.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

As well as a win, I'd like to see some of guys win their one on one's....
I'd love Milne to run Josh Hunt of his feet, Roo and Kosi to kick a respectable number on Harry and Scarlett, Gardiner and McEvoy to dominate the ruck, and finally I'd love to see Farren tackle Joel multiple times without the umpire yelling 'high' this time round.
Are all these too much to ask?

We need to steal this one.
This is a case of grabbing the opportunity when it presents itself.
I am honestly quite bullish about this one.
For some reason I think the belief in the group has never been stronger. I dont know, its just the feeling I have atm.

Chapman's hammie to audibly snap.
Ablett to twist his ankle in the warm up.
Nasty and all, but f*** it.
Oh, and Mooney to spray an early gimme 30m wide of the behind post.

Lets beat them and neither side get injuries. Mooney can miss though.
I don't really wish ill on anyone - at least I acknowledged my temporary nastiness.

I want to see someone unexpectedly emerge into a decisive game breaker... (e.g.McEvoy)
Not only would it help us win the game but provide a massive confidence boost for the finals campaign for the player and the team that someone else is able to stand up to carry the team...
Can't wait for the game tomorrow night, starting to get very nervous, but a few cats fans i've spoke to feel quite the same and are not confident by any stretch...
Go Saints!!

Nah....I'm with your original sentiments Thinline - except add decisive win to that.Thinline wrote:I'm not a superstitious type.plugger66 wrote:Neard of the expression bite you on the bum.Thinline wrote:Chapman's hammie to audibly snap.
