Tickets Monday: Question!
Not sure if anyone has tried this in previous years but ill ask the question.
If your a member can you still request for an area to sit in (For example: Ponsford Stand) and will you still be placed in a members bay accordingly?? I know with Ticketek on the website you can request which stand to sit in, whether you get placed in a members bay is another question. Thanks, Go Sainters

On the internet you are just offered "the best available" (their words not necessarily the truth) in the stkilda areas allocated, if you are buying on members day.
I have learned to not necessarily accept the first they offer, especially in the first couple of weeks. Dont be afraid to say no and try again. Check out the map of the mcg and get an idea where you want to sit. Just hold your nerve and you can usually get good seats in the first couple of weeks.
Prelim final and grand final completely different.
Hope it helps

Indeed normally some of the worst seats go early as they seem to start with the bays near the goals and work towards the wings.mullet wrote:

Most people prefer to get as close to the wing as possible and so I don't know why they do not sell the seats in that order instead.
Indeed last year non-members buying later in the week got betterseats than I did.

Not saying its easy, cos a little bit of me poos my pants thinking I am going to miss out, but each year I'm getting tougher
Yes, dont get sucked in with the first tickets you see. The MCG are notorious for putting inferior seats on sale first thing then gradually making better ones available during the day.
Remember the golden rule..
THE GAME WILL NOT SELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!
Now, can anybody provide me with a link to a map of the G showing the location of Standard, Prime and Premium seats? You would think it woujld be on the same page as the prices, but no that would be tooo logical lol

will know cheersquad end when tickets start selling tomorrow
in that they do put fans near cheersquads
assumption ; Cats finished higher and may get first option and anyone
given the choice should take Ponsford....
