Hawks win by 3 points. Beams misses from 30 metres with 20 seconds on the clock. BEAUTIFUL

Our suffocating game plan often means we have no forward targets. Quite often Roo has to run back with the flight of the ball. It's little wonder our mid's appear to be indirect. I'd rather Kosi lead from the goal square, but boss Ross probably has his reasons.

Nobody prepared to take the game on and run the football. Everybody just wants to "hot potato" handball to somebody else and let them deal with it.

Commentators said at the start it had been raining all week.
So this will mean the ground will be wet underneath and the ball is a bit slippery.
Difficult Conditions, its gonna be ugly all day.

Just listening sounds exactly like the Cats Eagles game. We MUST get over the line here!

That isn't it at all. Its sunny, the players jumpers are very clean and Adelaide seem to have no problems.

Are you watching the game every second player is falling over...but we are over handballing. But Ross said at qrt time 'we love handball'

I am watching, the players may be slipping over but its having no effect on the ball handling. We are under pressure and turning the ball over from poor disposal to Adelaide who seem to have no problems working it through the middle.

terrible game, ugly football, over disposed, not very entertaining.
Hope the 2nd half is better.

I don't see why people think its a must. it counts in september.. no point going full at it to win a game and getting injured.. not only that making yourself weary for the next game.

Looks like we have turned up not giving a s***. We almost look disintrested.

2 meter handball crap and lazily loping after a player on the burst wont make a difference to anything this week but against Geelong it will get us a 10+ goal hiding

BANG BANG

Miles has been very impressive again. Everything he does is just quality.

The highlight of his game so far was leaving his man to come across and lay a good spoil, then collect, get tackled but still free the hands and give it off.

Blakes has done some great defensive efforts. Who's exposing him?

Why is it all the other good teams no how to beat the press with run and carry, but we don't.
Nobady is taking the game on and no one seems to want to play in our forward line.
If we play like this next week, game will be over by half time.
This is a very poor performance to date, 3 goals to half time again highlights our poor forward line and our inability to score. We have the worst forward line of the top 8 teams.
I am hopeful we will break the game open in the 2nd half, but right now we look nothing like a premiership chance.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Yes cant help but agree. I would imagine ross is experimenting today. Has probably told them to concentrate on certain things. Obviously they have shut the game down. lets see what the second half brings
