THIS IS OUR YEAR!!

Post: # 976089Post SaintSimmo »

Up until yesterday I didn't see us winning the flag this year. But now:

With the dogs all but out of contention
Geelongs best forward out for the QF and a few of their top players carrying a few niggles (bartel and ablett)
The Hawks best player and best defender injured
and our squad just about full strength, im getting a funny feeling that we will win the flag this year.

thoughts?

We could get injuries against Adelaide.

No need to highlight others

It is certainly in our own hands.

Let's just hope we have a bit of luck.

Maybe a few prayers from our religous members. I'm atheist.

Here's to hoping they can't kick straight! I think we can take the Pies even if they do kick a reasonable ratio..

I wonder how much of that fear and worry is more about the prospect of Collingwood actually winning a GF than them actually being capable of beating us.

I still feel we need to prove we can match it with the big boys.

F***. Get over the Adelaide game first, eh. Weird s*** happens...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

3 wins and one loss against teams in the top 4 this year. We are really struggling.

i have a really bad gut feeling we are going to lose this game.
this little feeling of mine only comes around once in a while, and only once was wrong (rd 1 this year)

Does it really matter though? One thing matters next week and that is no injuries.

Honest answer required

If we beat Geelong in the QF...

Does anyone back Collingwood to knock over the Cats in the PF

Me personally I back the Cats

agree.....it's just a practice match, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't care if we win or not, just care about injuries.

But the feeling is a bit more moist now than a few weeks ago 8-)

We all think it is our year but it worries me that the bookies don't agree. They prefer Cats then Pies ahead of us.

Bookies preferred us nearly all of last year and were wrong.

You watch what happens with the odds if we beat the Cats and go into a Prelim to wait for an underdone Bulldogs or a young Sydney team ...

If the team ends up winning it's pretty easy to attribute the bad feeling to something else, but it's even easier to remember the times the bad feeling was right.
