I just watched the youtube vid about 10 times over. To be honest, I didn't think Goddard had a mark like that in him.

It says a lot about his level of confidence at the moment that he even thought to attempt a mark like that.

Incredible timing. Phenomenal height.

It takes my breath away.

Daughter looked at me as I had a tear in my eye after that mark she said why do you get so emotional I told her it took me back about 33 years ago as it was like watching the great Trevor Barker take a mark and he use to take a mark like that nearly every week.

Could have stayed back and taken a simple chest mark and then quickly switched play to set up attack, poor team play and I hope he was spoken to.

Hair stood up on the back of my neck.
On the footy show they were saying that Brendan said afterwards that it was special because a few minutes beforehand young Reiwoldt was telling BJ to stand in front of him because HE was gonna take mark of the year - lol

If there is one thing that I miss about the "old days' it is that back then that you used to see "hangers" EVERY week....rather than just a couple of times a season.

That might have been last year. They were saying on radio today that the winner get a $2,500 petrol voucher this year. Divi that up with 45 team-mates and they get $54 worth of petrol each !!
