Training hard or not ?
the bloke doing the gardening of my cousins wife's hairdressers plumber reckons that the only reason we haven't been traveling right as the boys have been working themselves exceptionally hard on the training track the past couple of months.
Can anyone confirm what the gardener said , have they been training excessively hard over the past couple of months ?

What will be next from this club ?

Ok so the Gardener DID say they have been working hard.
There! Is that the right answer?

Vietnam Saint has a cousin.saintdooley wrote:what the?VietNam_Saint wrote:the bloke doing the gardening of my cousins wife's hairdressers plumber reckons

His cousin has a wife.
The wife has a hairdresser.
The hairdresser has a plumber.
That plumber has a gardener.
The gardener told Vietnam Saint the news.

Vietnams Saints cousin told him...... as it was duly passed back along the chain via his wife , via her hairdresser etc, etc, originally coming from the gardener!

starsign is correct.
Nothing annoys me more on here than posters getting things incorrect, especially when it concerns serious spurious rumours.
It is obvious that vietnam_saint has never met/spoken/seen the gardener involved in this.
He is merely the final cog in this chain fo misinformed gossip/inuendo that was concocted by a secret meeting of the 'Cabal to Really Annoy Saints Supporters (C.R.A.S.S.) in their ongoing mission to lead us all astray.

Re the original question...
Yes, teams who are assured of finals or top four often go through a phase called 'loading' in the weeks leading into the finals. This involves heavy training loads, simulated altitude training and other methods all aimed at achieving peak fitness come finals time.
St.Kilda and Geelong both did this around this stage last year and dropped a couple of games due to the immediate effects.
St.Kilda have again done it over the few weeks leading into the Essendon game, however given our top four spot came under threat the team has reverted to lighter training somewhat similar to late in a preseason.

To answer your question. Effectively no as since Lyon arrived he introduced "closed" training sessions where the real training is done. No one can attend these sessions unless working for the club or you gain a special invitation. ie Eric Bana, our No 1 Ticket holder got t attend one recently.VietNam_Saint wrote: Hey !!! Thought the question was pretty straight forward.
Has no one been going to training ?
There is typically an "open" training session once a week, but this reveals nothing, or at least very little, as anything special or unusual is not done at the "open" session.
So hence anyone who would know, is an employee/ player at the Saints and would not be permitted to post.
Anyone that posts cannot really know, for they will not have been able to see....except of course for the bloke doing the gardening of your cousins wife's hairdressers plumber.
