In fact he played in neither position.
Should be described as a "st Kilda nofielder".

Did the girl allegedly rape someone as well?ace wrote:So they both had form not just Lovett.MC Gusto wrote:everyone knows who the girl is yea? that email went round a while ago...very interesting. i think i feel sorry for lovett at this stage. it was pretty clear ross wanted him and the players did not.
i dont know whether he is guilty here or not but the girl has a rep

i find it very interesting how this forum got right behind milney - innocent before proven guilty etc etc yet it is plain as day that lovett is guilty according to you blokes

Youre sticking up for Lovetts rights but quite happy to trash the girls reputation by saying she "had a reputation"
I think you'll find that Milney may have had a lot less supporters on here if he'd been charged or ordered to stand trial. He wasnt, so theres no comparison
Just as an aside, I know we cant nanny players, but Lovett had come to us with form with both women and alcohol and had trangressed once already. Could this whole sorry mess been avoided if a couple of senior players had been appointed "minders" just to keep half an eye on him and maybe get him home once it was clear that he was full to the eyeballs? Sounds like most of the playing group (including Roo) were either at the pub, at Grammy's place, or both.

And how is it clear that the players didn't want him? Am i missing something?
I believe it's only a 'directions hearing' so no witnesses would need to attend?degruch wrote:Oh, that's just freakin' hilarious. I wonder if they'll be so kind as to call the 5 players in on a training day, or maybe even an extraordinary hearing on a game day???
Just keep heaping the s*** on world, it'll make it all the more enjoyable when we win.

I fully expect all players to be on the turps at that time of the year and no one sober to act as minders.
Let's be realistic about this.
Lovett is a tool - IF (and let's say he does/did need) a minder, then why the hell did we recruit him in the first place???

100% correct and to prove you are on the money there were plenty on here who werent happy that the same description was made of the girl in the Gilbert, Armo issue which proves to me when it becomes really serious most can see both sides to the story.fingers wrote:Is it just me or is the fact that the girl had a "rep" not freakin relevant at all?
FFS - rep or no rep, she could be a hooker for all I car. Rape is a scum criminal act.
Note: the poster does not make any comment on the guilt or innocence of the accused in this case.

...and we recruited him for his pace in the midfield...and if we got that cos one or two players just behaved a little and kept have an eye out..then wouldnt that have been a small price to play??
