Ruckman Michael Gardiner spent most of the second half on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint, but Lyon said the club won't know the full extent of the injury until scans are done during the week.
players inVictory room suggested not too bad- BUT untill scans who will know

I'm geussing if it had been close he may have come back on

also Milney not listed as injured But spent much of term 2 of the ground and ovbiosuly hampered when landing on the ankle.

Leigh Tudor said a spasm in the hammie

I'm thinking a week off for him wouldn't be such a bad thing. We will most likely get beaten in the ruck this week anyway, Patto can hold his own.

doesn't a spasm almost definitely mean 1 week, maybe 2?

No idea. Even if he's fine, a week off wouldn't be bad imo.

No it's not. He had the same thing against Melbourne and still fronted up the next week.

Michael Gardiner came off with a tightened hamstring and will be scanned this week, although Lyon says they will plan for him to face North Melbourne next Sunday.

The observant amongst us will have noticed him doing some tests for the physio's during the warm-up before the 3rd quarter.
Looked to be moving well enough buit clearly our situation in the game gave us the luxury of a "no risk" approach, hence increased ruck time for Kosi and even neil in the last quarter.

Come to think of it, I noticed him stretching it in the centre circle.

i didn't see that. i did see him cop one in the last quarter to an area that is sometimes laughingly referred to as "the groin".

Not the first time this year that the spotlight has been on Milney's groin

The only possible sour note for St Kilda was the sight of Michael Gardiner, with his right hamstring iced, watching most of the second half from the sidelines.

However, Lyon said after the game that the move was more precautionary than required, and expressed the hope that the big ruckman would be fit to take his place against North Melbourne next week.

I reckon you can put that in the 100 to 1 file. A rest will not hurt him anyway.

yep, limped off at the end of the first quarter and wandered back on half-way through the second. presumably jabbed up in the break. obviously went all right after that, but i wouldn't be surprised if he missed one.

The crowd reaction when it became apparent that Yapper had copped one right in the aggots was like a Funniest Home Video crowd of 20,000 people p1ssing themselves.
