Sorry to pot my team BUT this is weak, soft, lazy, pathetic, hopeless, leaderless and disgustingly similkar to the kind of dross West Coast dish up at their rockbottom hackiest.
Hayes and who the f*** else?
And is Lynch on the ground? First game is no excuse for doing f****** NOTHING. Earn it, ranga.
FUMING.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Going half paced - very ordinary
Going half paced - very ordinary. Its like our blokes are running up and down on the spot, second to the ball on every occasion. No second efforts no run from behind surely we are better than that even if they are tired.

Problem is we will need to score heavily to win, i dont think we are capable of it, most of the year we have kept sides to a low score we dont score heavily. Well to win we will need to so will see if we are capable. We controlled the 2nd quarter to kick what 2 goals. Garbage !!OneEyedSainter77 wrote:What are we - 37 points down? We haven't had a big comeback for ages. We are due for one. For Gods sake St Kilda stand up and bloody do something.

(Us / Them / Diff)
Possessions 79 / 105 / -26 (That's four extra players)
Marks 17 / 36 / -19
Tackles 14 / 22 / -8 (We aren't even working hard when we don't have the ball)
All-in-all, that tells a pretty ordinary tale.
The big question is...Can we turn it around?
(Us / Them / Diff)
Possessions 177 / 209 / -32 (That's still four extra players)
Marks 44 / 69 / -25
Tackles 30 / 36 / -6 (Getting better but still not good enough)
Bottom line is we restricted them to 2 goals but we still need to do more to turn the 6 goal deficit around
I will raise you a steven on top of that ranga wth 2 kicks!!!Thinline wrote:Sorry to pot my team BUT this is weak, soft, lazy, pathetic, hopeless, leaderless and disgustingly similkar to the kind of dross West Coast dish up at their rockbottom hackiest.

Chips needs to remember he has a leg..... 6 handpasses and bugger all run.
Lyon needs to pull something out because this team is being found out as a one trick pony right now. Unlike last week there is no umpiring to blame....

Oh well at least my wife gave away our tickets this week and saved her and my kids the pain of actually being there to see a deplorable game and effort.
As I say as a Saints fan you have thick skin and go through a lot but not being able to match it with teams like Essendon when we are supposedly premiership contenders makes me really wonder where we are at.
I am dissapointed with our effort tonite so far and if we somehow turn it around in the second half good luck to us but it will not really help if we put in efforts like this come September, that's if we don't finish in the bottom half of the eight because we will be gone in week one. We are not guaranteed a top 4 position as yet.

Frankly, we're f***ed.

We have no pace and that shows against teams that take us on with pace. Even the pies beat us with pace a few weeks back and again the Dons are smashing us by taking us on.OneEyedSainter77 wrote:The only way we will win this game is if we have a ten goal quarter.
It is possible but very very doubtful. We are well and truly in trouble now. In poor form, struggling to win. We need pace.
Ugh nothing is going right for us at the moment. I'm so sad.

You can only rely on a great gameplan for so long when you have a lack of class out on the field. Once it gets worked over, the dud players get exposed big time, and we have a few.
Would take miracle for this group to win the premiership this year..or next, then it's onwards to another rebuild. We blew the most golden chance last year..whats new with this club

Bring back the Lockett era
Why in the world would Lyon leave Lynch on Fletcher for?????
Why is it that we continually stop running and allow the bombers to get back?
Where is Plan B and C and D???
Why oh why is it that we seem to be playing worse than when Roo was out?
And why oh why does it always have to be against the Bombers that we get smashed???
FIRE UP SAINTS AND FARKIN DOOOOOOOO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

Yep, spot on, and this tie we wont get a great run in the draft to prop us up.jonesy wrote:You can only rely on a great gameplan for so long when you have a lack of class out on the field. Once it gets worked over, the dud players get exposed big time, and we have a few.

Let me remind you all the we were beaten by the bombers last year and almost won the gf, big deal if we lose we lose.
People on here are so dramatic: "we will never win a flag again" "we are a terrible football team" SHUT UP PLEASE!!!
ITS IS THE 30th of ]JULY!!! NOT SEPTEMBER!!!
we have a good 6 weeks or so to sort it out.
