X Clarke
It looks like X Clarke is going to play his first game for Brisbane this week
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Yes it is.thejiggingsaint wrote:Is it beyond the realms of fantasy to believe that we could re-draft Goose when Brisbane delist him? :?
And why are these two being given air on this forum?
I thought the new rules regarding which forum should be used for opposition players had been set in stone.
Just quietly, I do love X and his brother.

He just wanted to get to a warmer climate to get his body right.skeptic wrote:Sorry to be a bit on the negative side tonight...
Word was that X asked to be traded.
His leaving left a very bitter taste in my mouth after everything we did for him
I felt he owed us
We did him a favour as the Cats did for King.
Bummer to see him go, but best of luck, he was one of my favourites, and I was convinced there was a spot down back for him...oh well....

Again, this is a trial from 25/7/10 for one month.

I suspect that the Saints were going to fling him and decided to "market his exit". A relative win/win. X still looks like a good performer and a player with a future and the Saints did not sack a loyal (albeit injury prone) son.maverick wrote:He just wanted to get to a warmer climate to get his body right.skeptic wrote:Sorry to be a bit on the negative side tonight...

It's such a shame. I used to watch loving his high-flying grabs when he first ran around with us. Clearly it took its toll on him. I wish him all the best! I've always had a lot of time for X!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Yeah any son is unlikely to qualify for the Lions given X's history of injury.noob wrote:All the best X! His still part of the saints that if he has a boy could possibly go under the father and son rule!
Then again, the AFL could reinstate the Barry Lawrence/Steven Lawrence rule whereby a son of X could qualify simply because his dad took a shower in the Brisbane club rooms.
