Silvagni won't ever become a senior coach at AFL level.
He's just not cut out for it IMO.
BS.
He is a brilliant coach our SOS.
Thanks for the 4 years of terrific service, and a bigger thanks that you didn't help your old club.
Carlscum can keep Banger, we've done just fine with SOS.
Let's all hope SOS goes into the media, as he'd be a threat at other clubs.
Probably a brilliant assistant but I reckon his main talent is in analysing forwards and teaching defenders how to defend them. The question is, does he know how to man-manage and motivate 22?
Lyon would be responsible for the structure of our backline while SOS would be more match-ups because he would know, more than anyone, the best suited defender to play on a certain forward.
IMO I heard enough of his commentary on channel 10 to say that he wouldn't be able to cut it as a senior coach.
Who wants to accept a friendly bet that he won't be a senior coach?
If only we had a club legend who spent his life in the backline, on the likes of Dunstall, Kernahan, Modra, Ablett, etc and who has senior AFL coaching experience, including say taking a club to their first Prelim Final in 20 or so years. We could maybe do with someone like that.

It is very important we get more ex Saints as coaches. That is the reason we are doing so well now.

When did I mention discriminate? I dont think I did. Matter of fact you did. No I want the best coaches and whether played for us or not is totally unimportant.
Who do you think the Blues would target as their next coach?
* Favourite son
* Someone who has been assistant to a top club for a while
Wonder who that may be?????????????????
You forgot
* Mr Pratt is still screwing whores from his grave.
* Mr Pratt is still engaged in anti competitive behaviour from the grave.
*Mr Pratt still has former executives bashed from the grave.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Don't agree. I believe he would make an excellent Senior Coach. However, I don't believe that he wants to. It is an exceptionally demanding and stressful job. With a young family, it is extremely hard. He doesn't WANT to do it, it is not because he is not cut out to do it.

So you weren't implying that we should avoid getting anyone who's played for us, because we don't have anyone who has there at the moment and we've done well without them?

No not at all. It is just i wouldnt want an ex saints player more than anyone else. If Cripps is the best and wants to come back then get him. If an ex player most hated by Saints supporter player is available and he is the best then get him.
