Actually think Zac's last three games he has shown signs of last years forms.
But yes we could have Goose, sadly injured indefinetly, so Buddy would have had field day there and Silvangi, injured two and doubt even fit he would have faired any better.
Of course we could bring Max out of retirement, but that isn't going to happen.
Christ, Buddy would absolutely DESTROY Maguire. Stronger, faster, more flexible, smarter, more skilful...worst match up ever...

How long have you been a supporter D**kHEAD! I'm able to have an oppinion, this is it! If I think a bloke is a Dud, I'll say it! I'm not a selector, it doesn't come down to me, so back in you're box, pissant!
I don't hate the bloke, I just think we can do better!
I've been a member for 20 years, so how am I a dud liability, Pleb? Tell me!
granted, was a little emotional while game was going so apologies for being overenthusiastic (which i'm pretty sure you are now)

however it seems pretty clear that he had an OK game and was certainly not a dud tonight. franklin was in frightening form and we were lucky he sustained a twinge.

but s*** mate, slagging off one of our own like that, prepare to be called on it

Zac was good tonight. Was very happy with him. NO-ONE in our team could have done better. Buddy's game was made to look better than it was b/c of a couple of chariety free kicks and then Joey running over the mark.

Zac actually gave us some defensive run and his skills weren't bad. I'm seeing some upside to him as well the last couple of weeks.

There were a couple of occasions where Dawson was a bit loose but that kind of performance will definitely keep him in the side.
Spot on. Zac got lost a couple of times, but otherwise did fairly well. Obviously Buddy saw a lot of the ball, but the bloke's a jet. Similar to the Roo-Gibson contest at the other end. Roo beat him - could have had 4 or 5 goals, but Gibson kept at him and made a few reasonable rebounds.

What a joke of a thread. zac was super tonight, his best game of the year by far. Some people just don't get football. Franklin was on fire abd was gifted at least two goals from bogus free kicks. If zac plays like that for the rest of the year I'll be very happy

You're right. He was competitive on a champ.

I am with you Elvis Lives - figured this was going to be a thread lauding Zac for his best game in 12 months. Was excellent tonight. I just wonder if some folks actually watch the game before posting complete BS.

Buddy got a lot of soft frees... He also had very good opportunities courtesy of their quick midfield clearances...

He stuffed most of them, but owes the large percentage of his goals to soft frees. The Zac/Joey one was the ultimate...what was it for?

Was very good to see him put the body on the line and contest very well. Was probably one of the better backman for the night.
Is it just me or is Gilbert flying under the radar? Same with Joey?

Surely no one can seriously consider Silvagni would have done a better job on an in-form Buddy than Zac!

Good Lord, he's 43 years old!

Oh sorry, you meant Alex Silvagni.

That's even funnier

Zac was pretty good I reckon tonight. Twice out of position but not much you can do when Hodge is allowed to run free from the middle of the ground.

Still watching the reply, but looks OK to me too. Standard whipping boy thread.
Out of position a couple of times, lacked pace v Buddy but not terrible.

Whipping boy thread indeed.

Thought he got better as the game went on actually. I've heard 'kick it up the guts' supporters bag the hell out of him before he's even had a kick...what chance does he have just doing his job each week? Yes, he has developed some bad habits this year, but he's hardly a dud.

What about the reminder of the GF I think in the second quarter but this time we created a ball up after a great Zac spoil.
