Crunched in a marking contest right in front of
me, couldn't make out if it was the straped on or not.
By the sounds of his yells while clutching his knee, well they we of extreme disappointment rather than pain. Which usually are worse.
It's was quiet emotional hearing his yells, with armo obviously concernwith his career.
f*** I hope his is alright for his sake and the club.

sounds like they are saving him for the quick turn aroundSpinner wrote:Ben spoken to at 3/4 time away from the huddle by the coach - looks like not taking any further part in the game.
so sad for armo, thinking about this but could it mean he will stay put as would the GC want to offer up a big contract for a kid with a knee injury.
BJ and Lenny need to get the idea that you can come back stronger after serious injury asap.
Thoughts are with him.

Hope it's not too serious, Armo.
All the best.
armo should have been in as late call up for dal. like for like. whats the point of dempster seriously? hes a waste of a spot. bad coaching from lyon. we know what dempster is capable of (not much). so why not give armo a chance on a big stage and let us learn something .

I think that with Armo, that like Gablett that his fate would already have been decided.Solar wrote:

.
He will either have already signed on or not....we just do not know it.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
Yep well he should never have been dropped initially. Ben is a much better option than Patto, and the only thing keeping Kosi in the side is RL's loyalty.Spinner wrote:Ben spoken to at 3/4 time away from the huddle by the coach - looks like not taking any further part in the game.
Damn shame about Armo.
good luck to him.
Not sure we'll see him in RWB again.

Sorry mate - the drive back to the north western suburbs is a long one!bigcarl wrote:spinner?bigcarl wrote:To anyone who actually saw the game, was Walsh really Sandy's best, or was it some sort of encouragement award?
anyone else see the game?
Hard to say with best for this match.
What Walsh did do was defend well in the air. He is reading the play and getting a clear fist to the ball in marking contests.
Is he marking opposition ball? No.
Is he running out of defense? No
But his doing the basics - and the biggest plus is he can kick and hit a target already!

Love Simpkin...Reads the play so well. Strong hands and a really is a solid defender.borderbarry wrote:How about promoting Simpkin and bringing him in for Dempster? Give one of the young blokes a run.
Might be a little undersized height wise, but that isnt really an issue in the AFL these days. Plenty of defenders giving up centimeters these days.
He got a run on the ball towards the end of the match.
Honest question Spinner..did any of the fringe Saints players demand a spot with the Saints next week? Or is it going to be more finding replacements because Saints players maybe out of form?
Sandy have been dead unlucky with weather conditions the last 3-4 weeks its fair to be said...its rare in Melbourne winters theses days to get conditions like that week after week.
