So if the Saints nominated emergency (ies?) who fly with the team end up not being needed, will they fly back early and play for Sandy?

has been done saint66au both with a player flyingout from Vic on the day to be emergency/ play
and then players flying back to play

BUT may depend on who requires game time.

His family sits in front of me in Aisle 37. Plays for sandi dragons and great to see him possibly getting a Sandi reserves game ... just a kid.

Interesting that Grammy has to play VFL (maybe!) before playing senior footy.

they may just wish to give Grammy some game time to test out the groins...

encouragement for the emergencies by being picked

anyone watch the game at TBBO last week- seems that Hutchings and Winmar are both missing?
or have they caught Ross's Flu.?

Winmar didn't play last week and had a calf heavily strapped at training on Tuesday.

I doubt that Armo will play and would be surprised if Gram plays more than a half.

hey zebraman, how is the relationship between sandy and the saints?

i had heard that earlier that it wasn't as good as they had with with melbourne. no training together etc.

is it better?

From what I see around the club it looks pretty good....ideally the two teams would train with each other at least once every week...but i watch the players of both sides and they talk to each other...have a laugh together etc...it's not like they avoid each other and stick to separate cliques...

On the ground it's pretty evident with Saints players being vocal at the breaks...Steven King is a prime example of this...he's very very good with instructions to both Saints and Sandy players...

Stanley among the best though, that's good.

His time in the AFL surely has helped him - had he kicked a couple more goals he probably would have retained his place.

it's something he's going to have to get on top of if he is to make it as a forward. he's got all the other attributes. pace, good hands, endurance, a good leap.

i'm confident he will get there, either as a ruckman or key forward.
