I thionk people often say flu...when they mean cold.
If BJ had a cold I hope that he did not fly up in the same plane.

He was there and you are right people tend to overplay their illnesses. Most people with the common cold will say they had the flu.
If you have the flu you will be bedridden for two weeks and be very ill.

It can be downright dangerous, but who says that's why he was out?
The commentary, showed him watching on from the sidelines, then confirmed he pulled out sick.
I saw him on the sidelines before the game, but I don't listen to the commentary, so presumed he was injured. I would say they decided to rest him. If he had a bad URTI they would not have flown him up there.
Yes you can get the flu if you get the flu shot, the difference is your body already has built up an immunity too it and therefore can fight it off much quicker than if you had no immunity.
No flu shot 2-3 weeks, flu shot maybe a week.
Maybe he was rested. Strange how Geelong do the same thing.
We rest our key players for the finals.
Mind you, I wasn't happy when we looked like losing at halftime.
I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

flu jabs reduce your chances of getting the virus but is not immunity from the breadth of strains.

To lay this to rest I will concede BJ was sick tonight.
I still reckon they knew he was sick yesterday before they left Melbourne and he shouldn't have flown. Maybe he kept it to himself. That would have been very selfish as he could have infected the whole team.

Ross said that eight of them were sick on Friday, and he was coughing and spluttering. I guess they figure the team has probably already been exposed to the bug.
