SAINTS cant handle heat .
SAINTS cant handle heat !
This is the most lethargic we have looked all year! Too many players who cant keep the feet in the jewy slippery conditions. Too many players getting lead to the ball by their opponents.
Lazy football, you would think they would have worked the BRISBANE weather out by now.

You don't think what? What are you talking about?iwantmeseats wrote:WTF? Seen the ladder up top lately?. Although, there's not a lot of effort out there. Mind you, a couple gimme goals to the Lions removed and we'd only be a kick out of it.sainterinsydney wrote:Wasn't smart bringing Gram and Riewoldt in for the same game. I agree...though we would want to start finding some avenues to goal...and quickly.clarky449 wrote:We will win
Come on saints. You can do this. Need more from our midfielders too.
We are making this mob look good...even Richmond beat them up here a couple of weeks ago.

OK half time
settle down , re group
we are better than this
go back to the things we do well and concentrate on them
think clearly and do the team things , do n't worry too much about Roo unless he is the main goto and put the score on the board through whoever is in the best position to nail it
Bi t of fighting spirit as its one to win now the Pies got up

You'd put Gram and Roo in against Collingwood then? Or wait 'til the week before the finals perhaps? Geez, I'm hardly an AFL coach, but I thought I'm stating the obvious here.iwantmeseats wrote:Mate, its a ridiculous suggestion. Were not 3 games clear on top! ffs.degruch wrote:He is. well said. Couldn't have said it better myself.saint66au wrote:Its pretty simple
We dont have a forward line..we rely on stopping other sides scoring and when that doesnt happen we seem incapable of putting any scoreboard pressure on. We are the lowest scoring team in the top 4 by a long long way and tonight is a great example why.
When was the last time we took a contested mark inside 50? Weeks and weeks Id suggest. We went inisde 50 13 times that quarter and couldnt score a goal. Took one mark inside 50, and that was Roo on the boundary line
I said last week we are the reverse flat track bullies. Play great footy against the top sides but cant string 4 quarters togther agasint lesser opposition
Cant blame umpires or BJ/Kosi/whoever being out. We need to find our offensive game and we need to find it quick IMO

More handles than kicks....
Half our team have had more hand balls than kicks = that tells me that too many of the players aren't running hard enough to break the lines.

I have faith...
But yes we really have had trouble this year going into games where the team probably win easilly.
In "big" games this year we have been excellent.
Yes having two underdone players hursts..but our workrate id down. Look at tackles...and our ball entry into the forward line poor.
However sainst are good in the second half.
Look for more application in the third quarter.
