I'll nominate that half as the worst the Stkilda football club has looked for at least 2-3 years, and possibly the worst lack of effort they've dished up under Lyon.
A sick Goddard would show more energy than this group tonight.
That half has the potential at wasting all the great work we've done the past 6 weeks.
Sh!thouse!

Abysmal quarter.
Nothigtn more to say.
Need to come out firing or we are going to lose this one.
Still only seventeen points down but that was a dismal effort.
We are absolutely completely lost when we go forward - we just don't know who to kick to and our forwards are not getting into postion. brisbane defence has slaughtered us so far tonight.
Bringing Roo and Gram in has hurt us because we're effectively playnig with 20 fit men when you talk of match fitness.
PLus Gilbert will have a week at least on the sidelines for his stupid spear tackle earlier.
Umpiring has been inconsistent which is frustrating as always but to be honest, we are putting in a pathetic performance.
2-13 at this miserable venue. Say what you want, but we choose to play our worst football at the Gabba and Football Park.

Terrible quarter THE SECOND QUARTER CURSE STRIKES AGAIN
Can't play any worse though, need a lift from Joey, Dal and Lenny- should still be enough to get us over the line
Ray our best to this point

dude, im declaring it, they are NOWHERE near interested enough in this one. Its shot.
Its pretty simple
We dont have a forward line..we rely on stopping other sides scoring and when that doesnt happen we seem incapable of putting any scoreboard pressure on. We are the lowest scoring team in the top 4 by a long long way and tonight is a great example why.
When was the last time we took a contested mark inside 50? Weeks and weeks Id suggest. We went inisde 50 13 times that quarter and couldnt score a goal. Took one mark inside 50, and that was Roo on the boundary line
I said last week we are the reverse flat track bullies. Play great footy against the top sides but cant string 4 quarters togther agasint lesser opposition
Cant blame umpires or BJ/Kosi/whoever being out. We need to find our offensive game and we need to find it quick IMO

Assumed when I saw the ins for this game, that RL was prepared to sacrifice the game for match fitness and structure readjustment...this looks like the case. Although, there's not a lot of effort out there. Mind you, a couple gimme goals to the Lions removed and we'd only be a kick out of it.sainterinsydney wrote:Wasn't smart bringing Gram and Riewoldt in for the same game. We have been shocking tonight. It's like we are in slow motion.

I like that...so true!
Our lack of attack keeps every side in the comp in the game against us.
