Oh well, it looks as if my view remains a minority one.
A majority of posters seem to be worried about the main forum being "flooded" with posts about opposition clubs: even though the Opposition Forum only gets around 2% of the traffic of this forum.
Oh well, like the new, flame haired Gloriana of our age (I'm referring to Prime Minister Gillard), I must be magnanimous and show understanding towards those members of our population who have irrational fears of being "flooded" by unworthy outsiders!!

NO...
and just why should it?
I Did suggest to battye a couple of months back that there should be more forums...
The should be a general sports forum as apart from the AFL Opposition Forum, where posters can discuss Cricket, Tennis, Soccer ect...
Battye thought it was a good idea, but to date nothing has changed.

Don't see the point of a sports forum, the gen forum covers that. Tennis, soccer, cricket, GP, cycling and other sports all have threads on the gen forum. already being discussedSt Fidelius wrote:NO...

I brought up tennis on the opposition forum, nobody wanted to talk to me about itSt Fidelius wrote:NO...

Nobody really looks at the opposition forum...
But I am sure some on here would like to discuss other sports...
Even the Spring Racing Carnival and their early tips !!!
To reduce this site to just two forums is just ridiculous IMO.

What is wrong with a general sports forum where you don't have to re enter your details and meet up with politics and religious topics??
Surely it not too hard to have one and see if it successful, if not scrub it, yes it is an extra forum for you to read, but in essence it isn't because anyone that wants to discuss a sports topic goes to the opposition forum or the general forum (where both really are not suitable )
This extra forum would also give a break from the last three years of frustration in the off season where this site really has hit the pits and maybe the reason why Damien left saintsational...
He got fed up with the in fighting in the off season (and really it has gotten worse over the last couple of years)
This is a chance for some comment other sports, there is so many to talk about, we have the Commonwealth Games this year and the ashes tour in the off season.
And we still have only one option, and that is to join the General Forum...
As one poster pointed out... he/she made a comment about the tennis in the opposition forum and received no comments...
Some on here are not interested in the opposition and maybe most are just interested in the Saints, but by have a General Sports Forum it will at least help with the regular crapola that comes in the off season and one would suggest is the reason why so many posters tend to leave this site for good

I actually thought that poster was cracking a joke. Hence the wink on the post.St Fidelius wrote:As one poster pointed out... he/she made a comment about the tennis in the opposition forum and received no comments...
The Opposition Forum is about opposition teams and general footy discussion....not tennis!
I can't believe I need to clarify this but the sport of tennis is a topic for the Gen Forum. Surely you understand that.

I'd like to see you integrate a little more.
Should this be moved to the general forum?

I'm anti-derivative forum. I do however think that this could be a turning point for the site.kosifantutti23 wrote:You're a bit of a loner.cowboy18 wrote:Typically derivative suggestion from you. Although I would settle for a general mathematics forum.
Do you want Paasche's theory or Laspeyre's index?
