For the same reason Geelong trotted out Hocking and Couch to bemoan modern day tagging?

sounds like our 2004-2006 before we had a proper medical team ... though we did have a lot of young guys with underdeveloped bodies

So I'm a bit worried about the fallout from this incident. The media seem to be lining up behind Stevie J. I expect Baker to go for many weeks and Stevie maybe to get one or two.

If this occurs, perhaps our club will have the guts to go to court this time and blow the whole ludicrous system wide open. Somehow I doubt it.

Unfortunately, as we saw with Chris Judd recently, in AFL all players are equal but some are "more equal tha others" (with apologies to George Orwell).

i'm tiping stevie blunder to get an official afl apology and bakes 12 weeks......

It all contributes to the fact that when we do get there, it will be all the sweeter for all this garbage the club has gone through.

How well did Roo, Gram, Raph and Zac play on Firday night
They tore that undermanned Geelong team apart, didn't they?

I mean I keep hearing about all those 'premiership players' missing and St Kilda was at near 'full stregth' missing only Reiwoldt and Gram.

I don't think I've ever seen such a concerted campaign to hoodwink the public over what actually occured in a game.

Since the euphoria of Friday night post game, there appears to have been an orchestrated attempt to:-
-diminish the accomplishments of St Kilda
-remind everyone of the numerous major talents not playing for Geelong so as to excude their woeful performance
-demonize Steven Baker
-earn pity for Steve Johnson

Alas, entirely as I predicted. The president of another club told me after
the Farmer nonsense that the AFL hierarchy wanted Baker out of the game.

Clearly it's true.

The people who run the AFL at the moment are so incredibly vindictive that I don't think we should take them to court. Instead, Baker should mount some sort of case through the Players' Association. IMO

I flagged that earlier too. They helped fund an alleged rapist's legal fight against the club, so they're not picky.

Just a question, how long do carry over points carry over for. The farmer incident was years ago so does it ever drop off

Isn't it 3 seasons? I'm sure the little ratbag has had a few additional reprimands in the meanwhile.

I was counting the days and thinking how well he had been doing- playing so well and injury free
it is there for 3 years and he was 2 months from being free of them

we have several players with loadings and points hanging..
