Straight line corridor run. Gold. He just makes time the big G. Good stuff.

Best game of his career I reckon - and yes I am including THAT final in Adelaide.

His ability to hit a target with speed of ball movement through the air is brilliant.

Tonight he looked as though he made the decision that he was gonna own that ball, take it and run and nothing was stopping him....

He's a beautiful kick, isn't he. Left or right foot nowadays. His puts out a nice long handball also.

I agree. His attacking run out of defence and his confidence to take the game on was amazing. It was great to hear the crowd getting behind him too.

He's had a great year and seems to have found a spot down back after appearing to be at the crossroads at the end of last year.

Dermie on SEN gave him player of the match. While he said he probably wasn't the actual best player on the ground...in the context of what it means to him being a break out game etc, and I agree with that too.

BOG for me last night. I don't think his great year or his excellent game against Freo last match have been fully appreciated on here or in the media.
I had him in our best 3 in that match.

I still remember how disappointed I was when he wasn't selected in our grand final side and still wonder what if........

definitly top 5. With Zac out, and Fisher playing as a more lock down defender (mind you he had about 25 touches), it means that we need someone else to help out Gilbert provide the run from half back.

Great to see someone else standing up, as Bj aint always down there. Gwilt was very valuable today, hope this can breed confidence and continue.

Exactly. He's our most improved player this year. After 6 games we were crying out for some of these blokes (lesser lights) to stand up, Jimmy and Raph have certainly done it. Geary is improving each week, and it was great to see Jack Stevens have a great game tonight.

THis really pains me to say it, but old Rodgerfox was right - losing Roo was a blessing. I was sure that some of these blokes were playing in his shadow. They have lifted becuase quite simply they had to. Even BJ has lifted his game a cog. There is just one last piece in the puzzle which will fit into place in the next 2-3 weeks.

the beauty of all this, is that at this time last year I couldn't see us playing any better - whereas at the moment I can still see improvement as the year progresses...

Jimmy has always been an excellent long penetrating kick but now it looks like he has finally got the confidence to use his strength and just run through opposition players as well.

He has really matured in his decison making and his ball handling in the conditions was great.

I heard one of the players interviewed (BJ?) after the game (ABC radio) and he said that Gwilt was the fastest guy in the team over the 1st 20 metres!

There is still even more room for improvement and we'll all look forward to his continued development.

Raph & Zac may both have a problem getting back in?

His kicking on the right foot in those conditions was incredible.

His poise in traffic.

Ability to shrug opponent's off.....break tackles.

Vision and hand's.

Can cover 70m very quickly with dash and a damaging Left hoof.

What is he......50 odd games into his career ?..........holy smokes !!

At this rate this bloke could be anything.

Great stuff Fuzz..............keep it up.

I'm the same - last night his strength held becaus it was wet and the tackles didn't stick. Ripper game. Absolutely brilliant.

But as stated needs to return that in the dry more, especially where contested marking is part of the game more.

In the past Gwilt was a very good athlete playing football. Great skills too...but he suffered in that his ability to read the play and his decision making was not that of a "footballer".

Well Jimmy is now an atheletic footballer!!!!!!! He reads the play beautifully and his decision-making is excellent. He has stepped up and transformed himself.

Adding to this is that he has POISE under pressure. When under the pump his handballing and kicking is excellent and creative.

I will call it now...Jimmy has arrived this season as an AFL level first 22 footballer.

Last night in the Cats game Jimmy announced that he may be not just a footballer, but that he may well be a GOOD footballer rather than just an average one. But he has to do this is more games for it to be so...

NOTE: Jimmy has now played 54 games. They say that many players start to show their worth at around 50...this is true in Jimmy's case.

He plays so much better in defence where he can read the play and use his running and kicking.
I hope finally they will stop wasting him on the forward line.

He showed that the POD is nothing special, just an ordinary player playing in front of normally a dominant midfield.
