Peake was good

Post: # 947114Post kp83 »

I thought he played really well on a night I thought wouldn't suit him. Don't know how many touches he got but he seemed to be well and truly involved in the play, laying tackles and in packs all night. Only query would be his kicking, but hopefully he can continue to improve.

GO SAINTS!!!!!

Agree,

His 3rd qt was fantastic, had a 10-15 minute purple patch where his run was fantastic.

Not getting carried away with him but you got to praise good work when it happens

He was great, except, I couldn't help but wince whenever he kicked it...bit of a raffle by foot.

Great game, did anyone else notice he has an ability when he knows he won't win a clean possesion, to commit his body and at least try to work the footy to our advantage?

Put his body on the line tonight.

Just like 21 of his other team mates.

Plain and simple.

When the going got tough, Cats folded like a house of cards.

This is our year.

yeah he played really good. and he had 21 mates.

only weakness is his kicking. sometimes he seems to just kick em straight up in the air like a rainmaker with no purpose at all. its weird.

but still great game for him. got some good run but he also did some nice things in close.

Easily his best game for our club.
And possibly his best AFL game.

Used his pace and used his body.
Great effort Pasties.

Big yep

He was terrific. I had him down as a soft outside player but will have to revise that opinion after last night.

Credit where credit is due - it looks like he has adapted to "Saints Footy" now. Similar to Farren where his toughness at the ball was questioned.

I think he took a big step forward last night.

Like others have said, I think he needs to keep working on his kicking though. That can be the next "project".

Yeah big step forward is right.

That third quarter was the best of his career.

He played Saints Footy and threw himself in with completely disregard for personal damage. Result: he didn't get hurt! Agree about his kicking though, although not as bad as CJ and he will continue to improve now he gets it. Good runner and beginning to look like he belongs in this great side. May yet turn out to be as inspired a piece of recruiting as Gram or Ray.

Best game of footy????

He has 12 brownlow votes and finished top 3 in a B&F and made the IR rules team....and his kicking is no different to gram/montagna/wojinski or any player who kicks at full pace....it is hard to spot up...the guy can play, but has been inconsistent in the past....will be our best recruit in 2010 by a mile.....

id be more concerned with Gilbert who misses targets standing still
