Club has to make a stand on all this muck raking by the Hun and 9.
Cut them off completely, instruct players not to talk to Journalists for the Hun or 9 and no more appearances on 9.
If 7 wants them on Game Day stipulate that Robinson is not to be present, no more appearances on On the Couch etc.
Its one thing to report the news but another entirely to do what 9 and the Hun seem to get up to constantly.

Goin to totally boycott both channel 9, herald sun and their sponsors. Have told them. Might not do anything but makes me feel a little better.

And it now looks like he did make complaints about it at the time.

Still doesn't explain why that for someone emphasising that he wanted to justice to prevail and that there was sufficient evidence for this to go to trial, why he has now singlehandedly destroyed any chance of this ever happening.
Who has benefited from this, certainly not the woman allegedly involved, certainly not the players investigated...
It makes little sense to me.

What a stupid f****** question. You've got to be kidding. These two play for our footy club. Do we want them here if they raped someone, or were aware that someone they knew was having sex with someone that thought they were someone else?degruch wrote:What's that got to do with anything? As soon as the Lovett thing surfaced we seemingly all wanted him out him out of here ASAP, yet the same doesn't appear to be the case with these two.
I love these guys, but, if they were responsible for what they were accused of, I don't want them at our club. Do you? Whether the investigation was "done and dusted" or not?

What a stupid f****** response. Youy're jumping at 'implications' and trying to construct them into a story...the same way this ex-cop is. He can imply all he wants, but the case (at least for the time being) is closed. Some people need attention, don't they.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:What a stupid f****** question. I agree with you SainterK.
I dont want to see a cover up and if there was any wrong doing then people(on whatever side they may be) need to face up to it but a sensational two page spread in paper parading all the supposed details is wrong and helps no one, least of all the women involved.

No, as this story continues to unfold, he is proving he is lacking a lot more than intelligence...especially given he has let down who he believes is the victim.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:I didn't say he was smart, did I?SainterK wrote:I understand that, I get that he tried to complain through the relevant people at the time.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:Who gives a f*** "why"? agreed and any chance that both parties get a decient end to this incident has gone completely. How this could ever be re-opened is questionable. The way it's being reported is disgusting.TazzieSaintGirl83 wrote:I agree with you SainterK.

I'm wondering if this is the same cop who, at the time, implied through the media that MM got away with it? If so, he does have an axe to grind, maybe justifiably, but he's gone about it very poorly.SainterK wrote:No, as this story continues to unfold, he is proving he is lacking a lot more than intelligence...especially given he has let down who he believes is the victim.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:I didn't say he was smart, did I?SainterK wrote:I understand that, I get that he tried to complain through the relevant people at the time.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:Who gives a f*** "why"? Until an internal police investigation is carried out (if required), it's wrong for anyone to begin implying anything in regard to the players previously involved...but that doesn't stop the gutter press.

If our guys are innocent of this and I hope like hell they are, for all concerned, then they can "put this to bed", once and for all, before any investigation is re-opened, today, by going and having a polygraph test. Call up channel 9, or whoever they want and go to the place in Richmond, or wherever it is, and sit the polygraph test. Today. Clear their names, once and for all. Unless we reckon Milney's smart enough to beat it.
And for good measure, take Scott Gladman along as well and lets see who's lying. Would you all be happy enough for that to happen?

That's the quote that got my goat.SainterK wrote:From the HS story on their website, this wasn't on the news last night, is this in the next part of the next edition?
The former policeman was critical of Montagna's refusal to make a full statement after initially co-operating with police and being cleared of any wrongdoing himself.
"If a leader of the St Kilda football club is someone who hides behind the club ... who won't be a man and say ... I'm prepared to make a statement to police ...
"He's got to go home and face his family and he's got to face himself in the mirror," Mr Gladman said.
This bloke has the temerity to question Joey's integrity when he didn't have the guts to stand up to what he apparently believed was police corruption at a high level.
Joey made a statement & was cleared of any wrongdoing. End of story.
He was obviously not legally obligated to make a further statement, otherwise he would have been charged with perverting the course of justice or withholding evidence, etc.
How did this copper go facing his family each night when he apparently thought the victim's rights had been ignored?
What did the mirror look like when he looked in it for the past 6 years?
Is he man for choosing his career over the rights of the victim?
What a weak dog to use the media to defame someone when he looks like he is more culpable for the events that are alleged to have taken place.
Of course his hypocrisy will be ignored by all & sundry.

If you're so sure they didn't do what they were accused of, you don't think it would be worth our guys clearing their names, once and for all? They can do it. Today, if they want to. There's a polygraph test here that anyone can sit, for about $600.degruch wrote:Scott Gladman is the only one who needs a polygraph test currently...or a visit from Tim Roth.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:And for good measure take Scott Gladman along as well and lets see who's lying. Who's saying I believe they're not guilty...all I have to go on is a closed police case form 6 years ago...same as almost everyone else. The point is, the only allegation made to date is from one cop, saying he was bullied by other cops to drop the case. This needs to be dealt with first, by the police, before the media begin harrassing these guys again.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:If you're so sure they didn't do what they were accused of, you don't think it would be worth our guys clearing their names, once and for all? I can't see that what the HUN has done is actually legal, by printing a story implying that two guys are guilty and that the club has somehow influence a police case. There are no facts, not even an open statement to this effect, only implications.
I get your point re: the polygraph by MM, but I wouldn't leap back into an event I'd been involved with 6 years ago, just because someone else has an axe to grind.
