Woosha under the pump, nothing to do with us right?

If Worsfold is to go at the end of the year - the Eagles have won 15 of their past 56 games - the club will throw massive money at possible successors.

Roos, St Kilda's Ross Lyon and Port Adelaide assistant and former North Melbourne coach Dean Laidley are said to head the proverbial wish-list.

Hey?

Yeah he'd be a good chance.

I think it is everyone catching on to how good a coach Ross is.
But us all at Saintsational knew that already.

I'd take Laidley over Kerr. Laidley's a really astute game day operator. Kerr's a dolly bird model with a walnut for a brain.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Whilst I believe that Ross Lyon is a career coach and will probably coach another club down the track, not right now.

It maketh no sense for him to leave.

Wouldn't it be wonderful is Laidley got the gig?

It'd keep West Coast off our tail for the next 5 years anyway.

Deadset, without doubt, the most overrated coach in the history of the game (now that Wallace has been found out).

Glad you threw Wallace in. IMO the most overated coach of the last 20 years.

Would prefer Miranda Kerr.

Would be handy to lure Roos over to work with his mate for a few years.

Terry Wallance, now the most overrated special comments person on SEN.

Agreed.

The spin around Laidleys match day genius is amazing - the guys a spud. Cant build relationships with his players, cant sell his club and IMO left Nth a shyte tip. Easily another Wallace. Dud.

Still.....hope Eagirls pick him up

Hey?
ross lyon has a contract for 2011. end of story. not much available really. and i believe roos when he says he wont coach. so hes out.

laidley would have a senior job offer get out clause. so hell be a candidate for sure.

after that? anyones guess. but wont be any blokes that have contracts.

when Honest John gets the flick i dont thing Laidly would want that job as i think he will already be in the Port job as head coach .... i would say Sumich will get the next crack at the eagles .... hes done his time as an assistant and has made the final three in the last few coaching jobs so he seems the next inwaiting ... having said that honest John is a protected speicies over here and it will take a few more big losses befor he gets the chop ... honest John is the master of diversion you watch in the next few weeks the eagles will have over half their side on the injury list and honest john will send out one of his assistants to say "we accecpt this season is not acceptable but if you look at our injuries we were up against it " and "our future is bright once we get all our injured players back ".... and the eagles members and supporters will swallow this down as gospel

The Eagles fans don't seem overly excited about Sumich or Laidley, if I were them, I'd try to talk to Hinkley, he may do a Voss and be tempted away from QLD by a senior role...
