NDS-Where's he at?

Post: # 936517Post jonesy »

What's going on with his contract?

Anyone in the know?

This is going massively under the radar. We cannot afford to lose him to GC17 or our window will be officially shut

Said as much in the thread last week about Kosi and his contract status, Dal was supposed to be putting pen to people a few weeks ago. :?

NDS is 26.
By the time Gold Coasts premiership window opens NDS will be ready to retire.
That's why Brock McLean left Melbourne for Carlton.
McLean could not wait for Watts, Scully, Trengove etc to develop.

NDS does not have a premiership medal or a brownlow around his neck.
He knows he will get neither playing with a bunch of developing children.

NDS is going nowhere, St Kilda offers the things he craves most - premiership window now and personal glory.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

This thread is going under the radar much like the current contractual situation with Dal.

We want answers...

I seriously doubt he'll go to the gold coast. Hasn't he already had offers galore from other clubs and refused them hasn't he?

In conclusion, he's a champion and IMO one of the best players in Stkildas history.

Yeah, my favourite player, too.

Great skills -- not something the Saints have an overabundance of.

Might be an outrider but his skills are too valuable to put him at the bottom of packs. Rarely gets injured.

I couldn't see him leaving, I'm sure I've seen him dirty on another player for leaving the club? Can't see that happening with him, especially after the years of other clubs being after him - if he were to leave, he would be at Essendon already.

They won't chase anyone older than 23 unless its Ablett.

For mine, Armitage is the only one on our list likely to make the shift.

And given he's getting the Ball deal now and he bends bananas, why wouldn't he?

Thanks. I guess that will be some consolation for us all.

No way he will be going up North. Is very focused on the Saints and very family oriented. Parents go to every Melbourne game. (Well, bar one this year when they attended a function that I was also at!) They are ultraproud of him - as they should be. Not a chance he will move on IMO.

maybe with the lovett money drama out of the way, now the club has a better idea abt their salary cap for next year? it must be tough (refer Geelong) to do contracts with an ongoing cap issue up in the air.... just a thought.

Would be utterly shocked if Dal went and frankly, it just ain't gonna happen.

Armo would have to be short-priced favourite.

Where's McEvoy's contract status at? You'd think the GC will need a ruckman or two who's not 18 years old.

Agree re Dal. Players in his age group are basically giving up all hope of playing in a Premiership if they head north.

With Armo, who knows? However if he does go it will not, IMO, be because of the QLD thing (Mackay is a long way from the Gold Coast) but rather due to perceived better opportunities.

Yeah, you never do know though.

Armo has a fantastic opportunity right now to turn things around and become a great Saint.

Let's face it. He wasn't dropped for form reasons alone.

He worked himself back into great touch in the 2's, then untimely, was injured.

The second half of this year will tell us a lot about Armo, as I'm sure if he's fit (uninjured) and in form - Ross will pick him.

Big chance to prove a lot to your doubters, to the Club and probably to yourself Armo!
