First time I have seen him play. It seems kicking lets him down but that is expected and it didn't look that bad a part from the backline one. Will be a star once hes mastered the kick.

Can't believe you didn't add the footage of him crashing through that pack and marking as he ran back with the flight of the ball at CHB,then took on the man on the mark and shrugged off three would be tacklers, having 5 bounces then goaling from 65 meters goal post high...into the wind,on his wrong foot

Can't see any reason why they shouldn't.
It is a world wide web after all.

I just sent your iview link to Kerins O'Rahillys in a reply email.

depends on the talls. these three are quick, can tackle and win the ball at ground level. tommy is tough and physical.

you are right in that you don't want them running into each other or creating congestion, so you'd have to be clever about how it was done.

stanley leading well up the ground to the wings leaving space for rooey to run into. things like that.

Thank you very much for this video. I'd never seen him play, so this was a real delight. Much appreciated.

Glad it was appreciated by you all.

Nice one Ace, cheers for passing it on.

shmic_s and Ace well done.

I am sure our irish brothers will be excited to see their man in action.

Very good of you both for putting it together and then sending it.

When St.kilda had g-train,roo and kosi up forward it did not work because 2 out of three were fairly slow. But walsh, stanley and rooey are all very fast so it will be interesting.

His kicking wasn't too bad.

For a guy that has never hit the gym for his profession he looks bloody impressive already. He is fast and knows when to lead.

His kicking distance is good and I'm sure his accuracy will get better.

Still a fair way off.

Having said that, he's a lot further progressed than where I thought he would be at this stage of the season.

I can see nothing but GOOD THINGS with Tommy. :)

Thanks for that, it is first time I have seen him in action and he looks very promising. Kicking could use a bit of work but He looks the goods

Assuming we can judge from his single effort forward ..
.. are you implying our current crop of big men/power forwards are that far ahead of where he's currently at ?

I have to think he would not be far away at all.

How far away is he? About 13 klms - the distance from Etihad to Trevor Barker Oval.

In all seriousness, how far away is Tommy depends a lot on what you want from him. If you're prepared to let him learn and develop while playing senior footy then you could make the case that he's not far away.

But if you really want him to develop all his skills and get them to the point where they are second nature, then it's going to be a bit of a wait IMO.

And with a team in its premiership window you have to carefully weigh up the advantages of Tommy's "X" factor against the possibility he'll make fundamental, and perhaps costly, errors in an important match.

Don't get me wrong - I'm as excited as hell about TW. But if Ross wants to take it slowly then I have no problem with that.
