zac out this week

Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion....
I just think someone who thinks an injury to one of our players is the best news of the year, probably has a very different one to most on here.
Especially when reports are that Roo is running laps and close to returning, that doesn't rate highly on your best news for the year radar?

I doubt it is as easy as 'you're out, you're in'. Ross will make his decision based on who he can matchup on who.
But seeing as the Tigers only had 4 goal kickers in their win he may take the risk of a more attacking player.
J.Riewoldt had 4, Blake to him?
B.Nason(the guy with the dreads) had 3 ..
Nahas 2
Tambling 1
Lots of smalls so armo might get the call.

I never said the injury was the best news, just Zac not playing.
You don't wish an injury on anyone.
Very sensitive.
I await bagging in due course.
Whilst on the topic of Jokes:
A man meets a friend and sees that his friend's car is total write-off and covered with leaves, grass, branches, dirt and blood. He asks his friend "What's happened to your car ?" "Well," the friend responds, "I ran over Hayden Ballantyne".
"OK," says the man, "that explains the blood. But what about the leaves, the grass, the branches and the dirt?" "Well, he tried to escape through the park."

A year that doesn't end in frustration...please

Im not happy he has been injured. I think it would of been a good week to let him have a run around in the seconds..
thank god im a young lady.. because what i am fighting back posting - regarding potential player replacement is terrible..

The Tiger and the Lion may be more powerful, but the Wolf does not perform in the circus.
i thought we were one tall too many in the backline last week anyway, hence jimmy having to go forward, which isn't his best spot. with zac out we can have a settled back six (jb, bakes, chips, gilbo, raph, jimmy).plugger66 wrote:There are a few options for this week but sadly we havent got a tall to replace Zac so they are going to have to regig the backline slightly. Because of this i think Geary may get a go as he is a backman even though a small but that will not hurt against the Tigers.
The other options are Heyne, Armo, Steven and Smith. I think Steven and Smith are ther least likely so it is either Heyne or Armo if they dont go with Geary.
i'd expect armo or geary to slip into the same roles they've played a bit this year, but would be very happy to see a smith get a run.

why not give #49 stephen g a game looked good in night series and looked ok on tv on saturday
Not good news at all. I was really hoping that Zac might get some confidence up, and the structure might really start to settle before we had to play Freo and then Geelong. Having said that, (and I know that people are going to say 'Well you clearly haven't been to see Sandy', and they'd be right) looking at the one defender at Sandy who has consistently been named among the best players is Tommy Walsh. New to the game or not, if you're consistently among the best players then you've got a better reason to be picked than someone who has played all their life but isn't in the best?
The problem obviously being Rookie elevation which I admit I know very little about, however I had this idea in my mind that we were allowed one rookie elevation, then another after the mid season break?

Depening on how consevative or experimental Ross wishes to be this could be an excellent opportunity for someone.
Interesting moves Cahill scored 3 goals for sandy res on saturday and like stanley his form is a bit up and down but like stanly iam sure he would be ok at ff he is big and can mark dont know much else about him if he is anygood below the knees.Go Sainters Go wrote:Move Kosi to CHB and bring in Cahill to FF.

Not much below or above the knees, I'm afraid.saint58 wrote: Interesting moves Cahill scored 3 goals for sandy res on saturday and like stanley his form is a bit up and down but like stanly iam sure he would be ok at ff he is big and can mark dont know much else about him if he is anygood below the knees.
3 goals for Sandy Reserves is barely a ringing endorsement.

He's hardly being carried, no he is not winning games off his own boot - but at least he is getting hands to the ball and giving our small forwards an opportunity.spert wrote:Get Kosi to Full back, see if he can get the pill, I dunno how much longer RL is going to carry him.
