Zac was a inch or two away from being a premiership hero.

He held down FB for us last year, he went head to head with more key forwards than Dustin Fletcher, and generally held his own.

Zac has been very ordinary this year, last year he was not.
I think the reason Zac has been ordinary this year, is the decline in the output of our 'top 6'.
What are you smoking. Who in our top 6 has gone backwards this year at this stage of the year.

Lenny
Dal
Bj are ahead of this stage last year

Rooy was ahead but is now injured
Joey equal or maybe fraction below
Fisher just below because he was the greatest last year at this time either

You just tell untruths to try and suit a terrible arguement.

If our top 6 play to their expected potential then the bottom sic are hughly important in a big game.
Fisher will be better for staying down back, he has had a messy year as far as settling into a position goes.

Every side has a bottom 6. What seperates the very good sides from the rest though is the ability for that bottom 6 to, even once or twice a year, be part of the Top 6 on a given day. Unfortunately our bottom 6 cant seem to do that this season, and that is where our percieved lack of depth comes from IMO. Our best 6 stayed on the park for pretty much the whole season in 09, so it wasnt as crucial. This year, one of them is out for most of the year and another for at least 6 weeks

Geelong has also been helped along by players like Taylor, Selwood and J-Pod, whjo have an immediate high-profile impact in their first seasons. Weve not had even one of that type of player for a number of years

Well go figure..

According to you in this thread they:

* have a better top 6
* their middle are even further ahead of our 'middle 6'.

* and the bottom 6 don't matter.

But yet you now state " I have not clearly rated the Cats 22 above ours".

Got me confused there. How exactly do you get the Cats 22 not rated above ours when when rating each third you have clearly rated them as having the advantage?
F*** me.

No, according to me, right now, at present, this season, their top 6 and their middle 6 are better than ours.

They are performing better than ours at this point in time.

Fair dinkum.

Unfortunately, if you kept Geelongs best 6 to sub-20 touches..they'd still win a lot of games

Keep our best 6 to the same totals....and we'd struggle I think

Ah, so you have changed opinion yet again.

Great tactic ...so that you are never wrong.

Lyon's fault we lost the GF...then it wasn't. Cats have a worse 22, then better... coaches coach it out of our matchwinners, except hey presto when they play matchwinning football again they are matchwinners again...

Only had Harvey as a matchwinner in the past....ignoring all the matchwinners we clearly had...

Ah Mr Flip Flop....

Really bizarre watching others troll rodger in the same way he's hooked so many.

Would have rather had the conversation intended by the OP.

That we lack 'matchwinners', when clearly we dont?

Go for it....

There you go... half a dozen named by you from this season (not including Roo), 4 of them from games played prior to the OP.

I think you need to read the OP again.

SrR, you're losing it.

Which of course, are open to debate.

The only matchwinners I've seen this season, are Roo and since the OP Lenny then Joey.

It's what happens on a forum Markp. People raise opinions and theories, and people discuss them.

Or at least, that's what is meant to happen.

Goddard wasn't a 'match-winner' against Freo?

I think Milne has been responsible for sparking a few wins as well...

I personally haven't given him enough credit in the past, I think it's no coincidence that when he starts firing, everybody lifts.
